He was former U-23 squad.
mehdi, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get that picture of MM? Does Saba have an official website?

I think that there are a lot of people here who almost get depressed when they watch IPL. I am one of those people, like many of you, I watch, try to pinpoint the positives, the talents, but sometime the level of football is so weak, you have to question if this is the same sport that is being played in Europe (and I am not only talking about the big European leagues here).
yes the level is quite low, but u are exaggerating it a bit..of course it's absolutely incomparable to the big leagues, but can u expect it to be if there's only been a pro league for 5 years? if I compare it to the Dutch league (not one of the big leagues in europe but rather good, 7th best league), I think the top teams of the IPL (Esteghlal, Pas) could easily survive the top Dutch division. Of course, they won't stand much chance against teams like PSV,AZ,Feyenoord and Ajax (the 'top-4' of the moment, although some are speaking of a 'top-1'-PSV:D and then the other 3), but I think for example Esteghlal and Pas would finish around mid-table in the Dutch league (which, we musnt forget, has been professional for over 50 years)..so yes, the level is still low, but it's developing, although there needs to be more income for the clubs (with e.g. merchandising and TV rights, which don't exist there) and far better infrastructure
That is why a lot of people that I know that watch IPL agree that Pas (along side Foolad but not lately) play the most modern football in our league. When I watch Pas play I see some hope, when Pas plays, not that it is something out of the ordinary, but still it looks like football to me.
True, Pas did not win but winning comes down to many things, I am one of those neutral observers so I don’t want take anything away from EsEs but the fact that they have so many fans and that they played 2/3 of their games in Azadi is a very important factor. Also, Those players that you mentioned, Traoure and Kazem where long termed injured and the heart and soul of the team Nekounam left but you could hardly notice it.
Last thing, Pas is the only Iranian team that have managed to qualify for the second round of the Asian CL. I hope this changes soon but as long as this record stands, it is a huge credit to Pas and a big big warning to our football.
We don't want to discredit Paas. If there were not in ACL, most probably they were now crownrd as IPL champs. First they had to use extra energy to compete in ACL and then to get focused again after their shock defeat.
However, it is unfair to say they had less palyers than for example Pers or most of other teams. Also collectively, they are the best team in Iran in terms of management, facilities, practice field, etc. So Denizli should not cry. Maybr he could have done better if he had kept Nekou and also he was able to avoid tensions. But he obviously chose the other way and he is so proud of that. He needs to know he can't have his pie and still have it.
