Gareth Bale for Real Madrid C.F.

Won more trophies than Zidane
Better goals per game ratio than Raul
Provided more assists than David Beckham
Scored in more finals than R9

lol, yet some still call him a "failure".
I think he did great, having said that, his injuries were a HUGE problem that is why not too sad he is going. Plus saves me reading 2-3 page everytime Real loses and people blaming him!

The reason why Bale was made an enemy in the press was to deflect from the glaring problems with the team and the rest of the squad, players that have strong relationships in the press and walk around in an armour suit when it comes to deflecting any criticism or problems. When he's gone, certain people won't have another "Bale was watching golf on his mobile phone!" article to hide behind.

The pre season has been mostly terrible but it's basically just Bale, Bale, Bale, Bale. The sooner he's out, the sooner the uncomfortable questions get asked, and none of them have to do with Bale.

At one point you need to start thinking outside of the box and overcome your own biases. Bale failure was not due to his numbers of goals and assists ( even thou they are not that dazzling ) he failed because he was massively expected to be the anchor of this team when needed but he couldn't and lost the ground. His weakness to speak average Spanish was another dilemma. is he talented? yes, is he a clever player? yes, is he a versatile player? Not in Madrid and not in this Jersey. He might excel elsewhere but as of right now, his service is no longer required

On paper it indeed looks to be a totally moronic move for Juve to swap Dybala with Lukaku, but I have a feeling there's good reasons for it.

Dybala has failed to impress on so many occasions it's quite worrying. He also doesn't show the attitude expected from a young talent. His arrogance has been on display on many occasions, but his hunger is almost always lacking. Sometimes he does extraordinary things that make your jaw drop, but often he's seen playing a very average "just adequate" game. It could just be the system played at Juventus that is caging him, but someone like Ronaldo makes you have doubts about that.

In any case, I have no idea what Juventus see in Lukaku.

There is one rule about argentinians: They are either Maradonas or Messis or tough and tenacious defenders that are useful to european teams. Everything inbetween is quite useless to european style of football as with argentinians you also get that questionable attitude and shaky personalities, diva mentality, often jense kharaab like from all other latin countries aswell. Forget Dybala, not that Lukaku is such an outstanding player, but forget Dybala.
