He had drinking issue way before Iran. RIP.
Drinking issues and dying of liver failure are two separate matters. My point was the difference in drinking that shit in Iran for 5 years vs drinking standard liquor anywhere in the world makes a huge difference.

The details and diagnostic are not out and i haven't read it but, he had most likely one of the three cases:
1)fatty liver due to excessive alcohol use
2)alcoholic cirrhosis, directly related to alcohol abuse and the patient can be in critical stage.
3)acute alcohol hepatitis..

Dada even drinking standard liquor can cause liver failure. It all depends on how much you drink. But why do you say he drank the $h*t in Iran? The guy was probably allowed to bring his own alcohol to the country or they (the clubs) even got him the "right" stuff. How else would he survive in Iran for 5 years? Now a days, if you have the right contacts and can pay for it, you can find everything in Iran.

Yup,
You get what you want with good money over there, that is how fcuk up the country is.
Someone like him wouldn't drink any shit.
Bottom line good or bad alcohol, the excessively using will destroy the liver at some point. It is just the matter of time.

As a hepatology specialist tell us someone who drinks those tokhmi aragh sagis in IRan every day for 5 years will do less damage to their liver than someone that drinks an equal amount of Absolute Vodka.

They both will be vulnerable, and damaged heavily, it is just matter of time in each case.
But as sly said why would he drinks any shit, he was getting paid in $ and could get good quality for peanut in toman.

Having said all, he was a true gentleman. Won two titles for Sepahan. Was treated like shit in Persepolis and U23 team. They brought Daei to Persepolis training to replace him and he shook hands with daei like a true gentleman, then later the u23 fiasco in which he was again a class act.
