Most Iraqis deported by Saddam at the beginning of the war spoke excellent Farsi. I happened to have two really good friends that were deported by Saddam and there was no way you could tell that they weren't Iranians.

The national lines between Iran and Iraq are very fuzzy. The two geographical locations have been ruled under the same administration many times during history. For example, during the Seljuk dynasty or even at times as late as the Savafid dynasty. The Ctesiphon palace or Eyvan Madaiin or Taghe kasra that was in capital of the Sasaniad dynasty and was destroyed by the muslim invasion was very close to today's Baghdad on the banks of the Tigris river (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ctesiphon). Much of Iraq is Kurdish which are as Iranian as it gets.
اینها معاودین عراق هستند. یعنی از ایرانیانی بویژه روحانیون که زمان شاه به عراق کوچ کرده و یا تبعید شده بودند و در چند نوبت صدام حسین آنها را اخراج کرد و به ایران بازگشتند. بسیاری از مقامات جمهوری اسلامی از معاودین عراقی هستند.یعنی اینا حتی میون شیعیان هم کثیف ترین و منفور ترین قشر بودن که هیچکی اینا رو نمیخواست. از زمان رضا پهلوی گرفته تا پسرش اینارو به عراق تبعید میکردن. صدام اومد دید که چه کثافت های هستن و دوباره برشون گردوند به ایران. تو ایران الان بزرگترین و حساس ترین نهاد های حکومتی الان زیر دست اینهاست. یعنی فکر نکنید اینا چون عراقی هستن یا بودن کثیف هستن. نه ایرونی خودش هیچ گل خاصی به سره این مملکت نزده و این ها هم آخرش ایرونی هستن. فقط واقعا یک قشری بودن که هرجا رفتن منفور بودن.
