That is true. We are back to the if and but games we were so used to before CQ. I cannot believe they let him go. I also cannot believe he actually wanted to stay in that shit show of a federation.
I could see this coming despite denying it to myself and hoping for the best.
8 years of playing consistently solid football with high level of mental awareness and cohesive unity came to an end and we are back to old ways again.
Having said that I did not expect our coach to be so clueless and naive and so indifferent, he seems to be coaching a local Sunday league pub team more thinking about his Sunday roast down the pub than the result.
Who in their right mind play a useless 35 year old has been who couldn't put one decent pass together and second to everything?!
And then keep him in the field after picking up a yellow card! He was huffing and puffing and frustrated being beaten by younger fitter players and eventually picked up the second yellow and destroyed the game.
I was surprised by the fitness level of our opposition and more surprised to see them doing it the whole game.
Our coaching staff were not aware of this as if they did a fit and ready to prove Jahanbakhsh would have been a much better choice than Shojaei, despite not getting playing time with his club.
We needed fighters with speed and creativity not walkers like Shojaei.
How could their midfieldes and forwards run around with the ball with so much confidence and ease and cause danger in and around our box the whole game?!
And we had no answers to it..
I say get rid of this coach ASAP and bring someone who could revive the old tactics that we have been used to the the last 8 years.
People say Golmohammadi, I am not sure... As much as I like Esteghlal and they are just starting to get it right but team melli always comes first and I think Stramachoni has shown me he has the right attitude and charisma and know how.
We will get nowhere with this clueless and naive Wilmot.
Gains, good to see you and read your posts. Even in this rat infested site.
