Ansarian in action

In recent months while many praised Ansarian's performance, some raised caution for his physical game and number of fouls he commits. Here is an interesting picture from Perspolis-Zob-Ahan game where he uses his arms to stop Zob-ahan player right in front of the goal.

Notice that he is pulling Zob e Ahan’s player down in the penalty area (right in front of his own goal). Not a very smart move, even when he is not using his karate kicks.

veloke, you failed to notice the Pas player's left arm pressing off Ansarian, and using it as a leverage to shield off the ball. it's all part of the game, and a good ref. won't blow the wistle unless one of them is "unfairly" taken down, but as long as they keep fighting off, the game shall continue. that picture only captures a split second moment in the box, nothing unusal about it. Now if the defender had his boot in the other player's face or clits showing in the air then you would have a point.

next time you watch a game from europe look at what defenders do especially when there is a free kick around the box or a corner! its part of the game, and nothing wrong with it! obviously u cant go over the top with it or u will give away a foul, but what i can see in this pic is nothing
