If it is true it means they are negotiating Iranian way, they have money for this, and CQ is interested.
Reportedly he replied "no comment" to the offer, and they thought it just meant "nazari nadaram". I think they are assuming he means "harchi nazare pedar va madaram bashe"
Someone please explain to these dumbasses what "no comment" in this situation means!

Skocic has gotten very good results and TM is playing well. Changing the management at this time would be a massive mistake. In fact if anyone even thinks otherwise, I question how much they understand football in general.

We’re literally 2 months away from the next matches and there is no time for any sort of change. There is probably not even going to be time for a friendly match.

Coaches and players need time to familiarize themselves with each other, especially at the international level where games and camps are few and far apart. So when you really look at it big picture, Skocic and his staff have only been with the team for a short period. And so far, I’m seeing a lot of positives.

The team needs calm and stability right now.

Queiroz wouldn't sign with Iraq.

He was only just finishing stage 2 of a three-stage project with Iran until he got fucked old country vey.

He knows how many people want him back. I have a feeling he will be back. At some point.

iran may not get to play at home due to lack of var
according to inside sources.
Isn't VAR just communication equipment, a computer and monitor and a few extra refs to look at said computer monitors. Are you saying these things can't be set up in Iran between now and September.

If so this is a new and surprising shame for Iran.

Please explain what Skocic system is in great detail, because TM didn't appear to be playing with any set strategy against the only decent team they played Iraq, despite have a far stronger team. Iraq dominated us for large stretches of the game, particularly in the second half.

no it's not as simple as var in volleyball.

it costs a lot more and involves installing a lot of extra equipment
that iran may not be able to get under sanctions even if they could
find the money to pay for it

The results speak for themselves. 7 matches, 7 wins. You cannot get these results without any tactics or a plan. Football simply doesn’t work like that. So if you’re interested you can re-watch those games and maybe you’ll get a better idea of how TM plays under Skocic and what each player’s role is in the game.

As far as the Iraq match, we created 5 really good goal scoring chances, all of which were in the “golden zone” of the penalty box which is where you want your chances to come from. Iraq only had one chance at the start of the 2nd half. We really should have won that match by a bigger margin. They did not dominate us. And let’s not forget that historically they have been a tough opponent for us.

In general I’m not saying the team is perfect. There is definitely room for improvement and that will come in time. So far, I see a lot of positive signs. And if you give the coaching staff time, the team will become better and better. This is how football works.

So apparently the host country doesn't need to have VAR equipment already installed and AFC brings their own team to do the VAR setup for the matches.

In the 2020 AFC champions league knock out round, they didn't use Qatar's VAR setup at all and brought in a British company called Hawk-Eye to set up the VAR for the matches. So in theory we don't need to have anything set up to host matches. BUT the sanctions could block the company from traveling to Iran which means we're back to square one.

Also we don't even know what AFC is planning for the next round. They might just choose a country and have all the teams play there.

The article goes into more detail if you are interested.
