Iran Persian Gulf Pro League 2018-2019 Fixtures , News, Transfers, Match Updates [R]

Congrats to Persepolis for this championship and hat-trick! Very close competition this year... I jut wished this PP team had qualified from its group in ACL and be a strong side among other Asian sides... Don't get me wrong it's great to become champion in your domestic league, when I look at...

Marc Wilmots to be named as Iran's coach ($1.5 million)

Its a "wait and see" mode with the appointment of the new coach. I have read that he started the Belgian generation that we see now, last year's WC and the previous one. He hasn't had a long resume like CQ did and that's understandable... not as old! Good Luck MW.

Do you really think PP spent a lot of money in the transfer market?! The big difference between our teams and league and other Asian Leagues (KSA, UAE, Qatar, So. Korea, Japan and China) is that we let our best players leave (at times easily and cheap) versus others who keep their bests and get...

What just happened?!!!!!! Barcelona was simply humiliating.

PP lost and no doubt this was a tough year for them, it was clear some of the refereeing calls were very much against them. Aside from that they were not as lethal as last year (or even the year before). I think they need to strengthen their attack (something they should have done this year)...

Too bad we didn't see any goal in PP-Sepahan game, not a bad game overall. If Esteghlal wins tomorrow, everything will go down the wire... What a turn-around by Zob Ahan in the past few weeks!

    2019 Asian Champions League [R]

Esteghlal didn't deserve to lose today, but didn't play smart either... They just didn't take advantage of Al Hilal's one man down in the last 40 minutes! They could have done better... Good job Zob Ahan! It looks like PP and Esteghlal find themselves in a big hole with 2 remaining games. If...

Disappointing result by Perspolis! They could have won the game with all the chances they created, but somehow too many missed opportunities contributed to gifting this game to the Saudi team... Much tougher games ahead for PP.

Good win for Esteghlal against Sepahan in Isfahan... even if PP doesn't tomorrow, they are still a big-time contender. This year's league is very exciting with very unexpected results.

Great job by Esteghlal for winning against Al Hilal in Qatar! Good job by Zob Ahan for winning away. Still a long road to qualify from these groups. Hope PP will win tomorrow too.

    2019 Asian Champions League [R]

A lot of you are going to jump at (and even mock) me once I say this but I say it again: Iran needs to writhdraw from AFC, such a corrupt and biased federation... we are wasting our time playing in Asia! Not that our own management and federation is doing everything right, they need to clean up...

AFC really is crap! Look at how they manage these games and the refereeing is just beyond me! Another offside goal against PP... unbelievable!

Yup! I would suggest watching the game and you'll see... it's scary the way the refereeing is taking place these days! To be honest, it almost feels like it's a waste of time watching a game since refs seem to have already decided about the result.

As I said, if you call this you gotta call the other ones too! Not just the ones you like... you read it right but look at how many other calls they miss. Rules are rules and should apply to everyone, not just when you want to apply them! Also, when I referred to tiredness, I wasn't referring to...

If you play soccer, you know what I mean! How can you expect the player to jump defending the ball to have that kind of control as you say?! Besides this happened in 91' of the game, so you have to account for the tiredness... I just find it very unfair to call that a penalty, it was a very...

Let me rephrase what I said earlier on this page: VAR has been a failure so far. It's not being used as it should... the refs don't use it on every call (as they should) only use it when it's at their advantage so far (I am talking for some not all). It's come down to refs being the match...
