Bayern Munich will recall Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribery and Mario Gomez to the starting line-up for Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid, after the trio were rested on the bench for the weekend draw with Mainz.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is available after serving a one-match ban but may be left out in favour of Luiz Gustavo, who was an unused substitute on Saturday. Defenders Daniel Van Buyten (foot) and Breno (knee) are both out.

Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will likely reinstate Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria and Kaka to the starting XI after the trio were benched for Saturday's win over Sporting Gijon.

Xabi Alonso returns from domestic suspension, but Ricardo Carvalho (thigh) and Lassana Diarra (hamstring) are both sidelined

The English referee, 40, is rated as one of Europe's top officials, having officiated the finals of both the Champions League and the World Cup in 2010.

He has overseen 42 matches in 2011-12, including four in the Champions League, but none of them involving either Madrid or Bayern.

Uefa has not yet announced the name of the referee for the other semi final, between Chelsea and Barcelona, at Stamford Bridge, on Wednesday.

The second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu is scheduled for April 25.

    please add to the list:
1)CR is the only one who tied with alfredo distefano record,in hat trick record in away match..both scored 3 goals to Atletico Mdrid the former did it few days ago,the latter 53 years ago!!!!
2)Paul breitner the legendary R defender of WEST GERMANY played for both teams,...he had a major influence on scoing a goal for both clubs.....(great assistance for both teams)...
3)the worst defeat of Real madrid against Bayern, comes back to 1990,when they beat real 9-1 !!! in a friendly game(not official),after this match, real madrid coach, said,it is better to loose one game 9-1 than 9 times 1-0!!!!!!
4)jupp heykenss,a former munchen gladbach player in 1972,73,74,is known as Bayerh munich killer, when he used to play for munchen gladbach,he was always scoring to bayern!! with 2 to 3 goals in every match, and when he was real madrid coach, real succeded to beat bayern in two different matches(touenament match).....

absolutely,we will have a horrible game tomorrow,as always, our defence is soorakh, and the worst part ,another soorakh is our goal keeper, who is not in great shape now a days...the only chance we have is ,bayern plays open,so,that is best chance for us,with the great counterattack formation, which is the best in the world,we can match with them......
