    Players tax scandals

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...angel-10660442

Former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has been sentenced to a year in prison after admitting to tax fraud.
El Confidencial reports Di Maria has been accused of two offences from his time with Real Madrid.
He is said to have defrauded the Spanish government out of £1.14million during his four-year spell at the Bernabeu.
Di Maria left Real in 2010 to join Manchester United for a Premier League record fee.
He has reportedly admitted to both counts of fraud and will pay a fine of £1.76million - avoiding a trial at the Spanish Supreme Court.

It comes a day after former boss Jose Mourinho was also accused of tax evasion by Spanish prosecutors.

The Portuguese has denied the allegations that he failed to declare his income from the use of image rights.

Cristiano Ronaldo has also been accused in the last week, while Lionel Messi was convicted a year ago and handed a 21-month sentence.

How on earth do these people think they can get away with it?

*Your love makes me strong. Your hate makes me unstoppable!

Footballers are basically illiterate and I ain't talking about reading or writing . they have no idea what to do with the $$$ they get and they have no choice but letting some crooks run their businesses.

As I said there are not only these few players , these are the famous ones we hear about

Maybe there are some major flaws/issues with the Spanish tax system because this happens in Spain more often than anywhere else.

    You are right.
Back in 0's Spanish teams signed many mega stars (specially Real Madrids Galactico). Business was good, afortable taxes. etc. then the finance crises came.
Spain got hit (like all other countries), but Spain changed their tax regulations toward multi millioners, and made it harder for them to earn.

So basically spain who was advertising for Expensive players to join the Liga, turned there darkside at them, when finance crises came.
So Messi, Ronaldo, Mou, Falcao, Di Maria, who were earning legal, became "Criminals" over night.

This is only the first tax wave (reinvestigation of 2009-2010-2011)
The next wave comming up soon, will be (reinvestigation of 2012-2013-2014)

I know Messi and Ronaldo etc were hardly able to tackel just the first wave, without prison, but the upcomming wave(s) will send them both to prison.
My advice? They all should leave Spain NOW!

    Ronaldo's case:
If he pledge not guilty: 75 mill Euro + 15 years in prison
If he pledge guilty: 28 mill Euro and no prison

I said it before I say it again: If I was big shot football player in Spain, I would leave for China.
This is only the first Tax periode of 09 to 11. The remaining years will follow.

Unlike Messi , CR is not a citizen of Spain and in his defence he said not all this money was from his income in Spain, So is much more complicated than this . I am not sure where these numbers come from but there is no jail for the first time. ( at least it's been the case)

Even if he goes to jail then let it be . you fuck with the system then expect the system fuck you ... there is no difference, CR is CR on the pitch , off of it he's just another person like million others.

Captain, thank you, thank you very much for all these passionate years you have given to your Real Madrid to my Real Madrid. I will not forget you because, among other reasons, I do not want to forget you. No matter where you go know that I love you , Real Madrid loves you. HALA MADRID
