Which means nothing . it's like I have a better medical knowledge than you , Would that make me a doctor ? Do people call me a doctor ? Would anyone come to visit me and take prescription from me ?

Again and again , yes maybe he evolved our football but none of these will be remembered unless you can win Asian cup or go to WC knock out stage if no then people remember jalal talebi or branco as much as remember CQ because both achieved the same thing in a different way ... no more or no less

For me ,most important of all is the way we play and consistency in the way we play ,the spirit of not giving up and give it a 100% all through the 90 minutes regardless of who we play against .

Our game plan for different periods of the game and tactics deployed by the coach ,something I had never witnessed before ,even before the revolution with better players and we ruled the continent by winning it 3 times in a row .

We had better players ,better facilities and better league and could get much better teams to play with us regularly and won many titles but we never played football as a team like we do now .

Very good and all those will be worthy and remembered when you make a difference at the end. again it's like I am using a robinhood bow and you are using shut gun we both hit the same target , so you tell me Which-one's better ? the difference is when one misses the Mark . or what is the difference between Rafael Benitez, Kenny Dalglish or Brendan Rodgers vs. Klopp ? none , unless Klopp wins the PL

... and for 3.2 billion people (approximate population) that watch football it is important to win trophies.

now i am the last person who believes in mass hysteria, i belong to a minority myself ... but there are limits.

I think is unfair to deny what he has done for our football in all categories, sometime small details that made huge difference, sometime even some off field small details, yes trophy is what it counts somehow but is not everything in my opinion, i mean Australia won Asian Cup and look at their football situation 2 years after? This is probably one of the worst Australia team while their 1998 team despite missing World Cup was very talented and introduced lots of quality players to Europe and they built on that team for long time.

I don't agree with the part that he didn't achieve anything, as i few times mentioned in past, we are not Japan or Korea in level of consistent participation to World Cup, he made history in this category by making it twice in row, i guess if you want describe exactly what he has done in last 6 years, ''consistency'' is the key word, beside ''discipline'', ''team concept''.

Back to 2001 and before inviting Gucci and Dejagah, we had NO ONE in Europe, now, even we still don't have anyone in top 4 league, TM has 13-14 players in Europe. Huge difference. People will appreciate his job once he leaves TM. For me I can't recall any coach who had such an impact in last 30 years that i am following TM.

I mean the other day he sent Gaspar to Russia to look at all facilities, hotel, camp of few different cities, almost a year ahead of WC, honestly who would have done that in Iran? Mamad Mayeli or Jalal Talebi? Ina ye esme 23 bazikono nemitonan dorost rad konan, chapo rast har chan saal ye bar team haye ma sare in chiza suspend mishan!!!

Fair enough , Technically and disciplinary yes he did and you know better than I do but If I sit next to a Jap to talk about football how would I back up my statement of being the best team or owning one of the best teams and coaches if he asks me about our achievement in the last decade? Should I tell him we went to the WC without conceding or we lost to Argentina by a single goal . yes I understand the situation in Iran, the way the FA works, bad management and lack of this and lack of that but then again if we talk football in a professional way and if we let the stats run this discussion , then I'd lose the discussion to the guy next to me

If you look at the competitions since he was in charge, we competed in three categories competitions:

    1)WCQ2014 and WC2014
    2)AC2017
    3)WCQ2018 and WC2018

When he took the charge of the team in 2011, that team was one of the less talented one, some players played as starter in that team which wouldn't be in any TM that i have been seen for many years, this is the reason why he tried many kids born and grow up outside and out of 5-6 players only Gucci and Dejagah responded well and had some good qualities. ''Changing a Football Culture'' takes time, and he slowly did that at least in ''Senior TM level'' i am not trying to make god out of him, i even criticized him many times when the result during 2014 qualification wasn't there and to be honest we got quite lucky in last 3 games and specially vs Korea, one half decent chance and we won that match, a bit la Australia in 1998! But since that qualification he didn't look back, qualified one of the less talented TM ever to the World Cup and despite the level of talents Iran had reasonable performance other than last match vs Bosnia, if you want expect something your expectation should be according to what you possess, do you expect the same thing from Spain of 2017 in next year WC compare to what you were expecting from the same Spain few years back? Probably not. Talking about stats, as you asked for, Iran had more shot on targets in both matches against Nigeria and even Argentina, i think this is quite something for a ''Very Average'' TM . My only criticizes to him in WC was the match against Bosnia, we went out of gas in last match, which was always the case of Iran in WC, and when we concede the first goal in such a stage seems like boys panicked and couldn't execute the Plan B, etc.

Now during Asian Cup, you know that the red card of Pouladi totally ruined it for us, we scored early goal and had the full control of that match and Iraq had no business to be in the next round if it wasn't because of that red, plus Iraq always plays their best matches vs us no matter the quality of the team, still we made the come back twice despite playing with 10 men for over 90 minutes, and penalty kicks is about luck and in tournaments you need to be lucky.

IMO if you want explain something to someone is not only about the TROPHY, there is more than trophy, his team didn't lose a single match to any Asian team for Long time, didn't concede a goal during Q, huge jump on FIFA ranking, great discipline created around the team, players from star to a 20 years old kid accept their role and and are proud to put the jersey on and play for IRAN. You see some European base players such as Dejagah, Gucci, Ansarifard, Shojaei or some veteran of over 100 caps such as Hosseini and last year Teymourian sit on bench and never say a word, when was the last time we saw that? Bazikon-Salari was always part of TM as far as i remember, from Dehdari time to the last one Daei, Karimi and later on Rahmati debate with CQ.

And.. He also totally changed the core of team after AC2017, kept few veterans such as Hosseini, Montazeri, Shojaei but the core of the team is still pretty young: Azmoun, Mohammadi, Jahanbakhsh, Ezzatollahi, Torabi, Taremi.

Now what is next? I think is the time for this team to take it to the next level, we have decent mixture of veterans and young players, all depends to the draw but i expect if we get the similar draw as 2014(in level of quality of the teams), he should prepare the team to make it to the next round and hopefully, finally bring the Asian Cup back home after over 40 years if he remains as TM head coach!!
