    1. Beiranvand reed.. TM keeper should not play weak like that
    2. PP has heart. Good come back but will it be enough? They need victory in the return leg or 3-3 draw or higher

Persepolis was by far the better team and should have won the match 3-1 at least if it wasn't because of Beiranvand brain fart.

Rasan for only 20 years old kid looked very confident in such a crucial match. Good signing for Persepolis. Use this line up for the next match:

    Beiro/second keeper/3rd keeper/anyone
    Moharrami-Jalal-Ansari-Mahini
    Rasan-Kamal-Mosalman-Amiri
    Mensha-Taremi

Persepolis dominated the most minutes of the match, they should have won it by 2 goals difference minimum, bad line up by Branko costed them the game, he realized it in 2nd half at least. Coaching is huge in such a stage, that is where you feel the difference between someone like Branko and CQ.

No they didn't exactly "dominate". Dominating is a different thing.

Overall, what Iranian teams struggle most with is speed. Iranian football is among the slowest in the world. Perspolis is actually the fastest Iranian team in transition (even faster than CQ's Team Melli), yet they looked awfully slow against a weaker Saudi team. Traditionally Saudi and Kuwaiti teams were known to be slow and lazy. That title solely belongs to Iranian teams nowadays. The lack of movement and running is simply insane.

CQ recognized this right away and decided to simply park the bus for eternity instead of asking Iranian players to move more! LOL!

65 % possession vs 35 % and is not only that, ahli had one real scoring chance and scored two goals, say it all. Persepolis played a very good 2nd half.

    Rasan is at least 25.

His wiki says 20. I know Iraqi players have age cheating issues though, so maybe it is the case.

The return leg is in UAE, it is probably more as home game for Persepolis than Oman, lol, as there are lots of Iranians in Dubai.

I think you are being extremely harsh on Beeranvand ,he was not at fault on any of those goals , he made a good save from a firm shot despite having partial view of the ball and punched the ball well , the difference was he did not have enough time to punch it to his side and unfortunately ended up with the opponent to score the first goal , because of players in front of him partially blocking his view of the ball .

second goal their player was through one on one with Biranvand and scored on a bouncing ball from a brilliant pass that he smashed it into the net ,seriously do you think any keeper could have saved that ? I don't think so ...

Well done to Perspolis , Fantastic second goal from an unstoppable shot ,good to see come back from 2-0 down and Saudi team was good as well .
