I don't know what is up with the Argies they have been struggling. They are tied with Peru on points but they are standing in 5th because of GD. As for USA wow they needed a Bobby Wood goal in the 85' just to tie 1-1 @Honduras. Fortunately for them, CONCACAF is very forgiving and they only need to get four points in the next two games. The next game is Panama home and TNT away, definately they can qualify. Here is the problem and this is what I said before. Bruce Arena is decent but he is a mediocre coach. The USSF went safe after Klinsman and picked Arena because of his experience with the team and the fact that he will come cheap. USA can afford to pay a top flight manager, I don't knwo why they went with Arena but I must give him some credit, he is doing a good job cleaning up Klinsman's mess. Don't expect the USA to do much, they will qualify for the WC but they won't get out of the group stages, unless they get lucky and get placed in a very easy group.

I did not see the whole match, but it is clear that Venezuelans did play more brutally and physically (mostly to disturb the technically and tactically superior Argentinean) and that's OK.
But Syrians behaved like jackals yesterday, weird and dirty, thats not OK.

Honestly, I welcome this withdrawal (if we can call it withdrawal) for TeamMeli yesterday, it's probably a good wake-up call for them, many of them inexperienced players. They have and need to learn a lot more about fucking jackals!

some fantastic games coming up in the last rounds between october 5-10 & November 6:

Oct 7: Nigeria vs. Zambia (Zambia's win by 2 goal margin will send them to the world cup and eliminate Nigeria)
Nov 6: Cote d'Ivoire vs. Morocco will be a final decider on who qualifies (Morocco needs a win), assuming both teams win their respective games in October)
Nov: Capo Verde, Senegal, & Burkina Faso have a three horse race. if Capo Verde beats Senegal in the cancelled game then they have a realistic chance of making it. that would be amazing for such a small nation.

    October 5: South America:
basically every game except Brazil @ Bolivia is a decider.
I don't remember South American Qualifying being this close. Usually, three teams would have qualified at this stage and only one place was up for grabs. This time around, only one place is gone and three direct and a play off position are up there basically for whomever wants them (except bolivia and venezuela)
    key games:
    Argentina vs. Peru
    Uruguay @ Venezuela
    Colombia vs Paraguay
    Chile vs. Equador

Uruguay and Colombia needing only a win to get there. The rest might need more than a win.

    then on october 10:
    Equador vs. Argentina
Peru vs. Colombia (if colombia wins the previous round this will be a second tier team against peru and therefore a possible advantage)

Small point to note, Peru is trying for the first time since 1982.

Zambia needs a win over Nigeria with 3 or more goal to go top of the tale in October but still won't be guaranteed a spot at the end (Nov). I totally agree with the race in SA being the most exciting and clos in many years.

South Africa - Senegal is to be repeated as the referee had been bought.

Fifa has ordered that a World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Senegal be replayed after the referee awarded a penalty for a non-existent handball and was banned for life for match manipulation.

Fifa says the game, which South Africa won 2-1 in November last year, will be replayed this November. It says it made the decision to order a replay after the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld the life ban for the referee in question, Joseph Lamptey of Ghana.

Alexis Sánchez’s outburst hints at more Arsenal headaches for Arsčne Wenger

Fifa found Lamptey guilty of breaching the rule relating to “unlawfully influencing match results.”

He gave a penalty for a non-existent handball against Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the game in Polokwane, South Africa. Replays clearly showed the ball struck Koulibaly’s knee and then dropped to the ground.

South Africa scored the penalty and went on to win the qualifier its only victory so far in the final round of qualifiers in Africa. A different result could have a big impact on the South Africa-Senegal group. Senegal trails joint-leaders Burkina Faso and Cape Verde by a point.

Fifa says the game will be replayed in the November international window, with the exact date yet to be decided.

"He can't kick with his left foot, he can't head a ball, he can't tackle, and doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's alright." Best on Beckham
