Togo has actually been slightly better than Iran in build-up and passing accuracy but Iran scored 2 goals on two chances they had.

Iran is now playing with 3 strikers! Ghoochannejad, Rezaei and Ansarifard.

Rezaei has been quite underwhelming to be honest.

LOL! CQ wants more goals. Amiri coming in. Togo has no tooth upfront.

Iran's midfield is quite alright in transitions but they're really wasteful on rebounds. So many chances for shots on Togo's clearance errors have been ignored or simply given up on.

He is after improving Iran's FIFA ranking which has direct effect on Worldcup draw.

CQ warms up the players who are currently in crises. In this game AF got some confidence. I want to see Gucci and Saman play to gather. I think it will be a good combination. Omid Ebrahimi, Cheshmi and the newly introduced Imani were greate. Finally Hamed Lak did a good job. This was a test game I think against Russia we will see a more standard lineup. I missed Masud!

Pretty boring match for the most part (CQ, what else would one expect?!), but Iran looked quite alright with this alphabet-soup squad of new comers and non-regulars.

Just finished watching the match .I am pretty convinced Cheshmi will make the WC squad. I liked Lak match(even though he wasn't tested much) but showed why he was invited.
Not very impressed by Ezzatollahi today. Was expecting much more. Kaveh and Ghoddos had a decent game. Both worked hard.
Anyway CQ rested few regulars( PAG, Rezaeian, Taremi, Sardar, JB) and Ashkan and Milad(injury).
We will see our A line-up against Russia.

It is nice to see our B line-up can still win games.

He is good poor guy lost the whole year last season bcs of terrible injury. Otherwise he could have made the squad much earlier.

I only saw the highlights but Lak looked confident and had some clean catches, only wish that Togo shots were on target so we could see his reactions, but his positioning on the shots were spot on, hope to see him play atleast another half against Russia.
