    زلزله 5.2 ریشتر تهران را لرزاند

    زلزله امشب در استان***های تهران، البرز، قم، مرکزی و گیلان احساس شد.
    به گزارش ایسنا، مرکز لرزه***نگاری کشوری اعلام کرد، زلزله***ای به بزرگی حدود ۵/۲ ریشتر در حد فاصل استان***های تهران و کرج، حوالی مشکین دشت، را لرزاند.
    قدرت دقیق این زلزله که در استان***های گیلان، قم، مرکزی، البرز و تهران احساس شده هنوز اعلام نشده است.
    مرکز لرزه نگاری کشور در گزارش مقدماتی زمین***لرزه، بزرگی آن را 5.2 و محل وقوع را مرز استان***های تهران و البرز- حوالی ملارد(تهران) و تاریخ و زمان وقوع به وقت محلی 23:27:37 بوده است.

    I hope it never happens but a big earthquake in Tehran will be catastrophic

    earth quake was not even in tehran and http://www.isna.ir/ and http://www.irinn.ir/ are not loading.
    so much for business continuity planning

    This is one of those statements that always ticks me off whenever Iranians or otherwise bring it up, all due respect.
    Earthquakes are not predictable... you can never say they're coming or not coming.

    Now I'm waiting for the usual rumors about underground nuke testing...

    It has been a while since my geology class. but from statistical probability point of view you can actually the chance of earth quake in a certain will increase overtime because you want to revert to the mean.
    Tehran has a lot of volcano around it. the plate tech-tonics is a real thing.

    but you are right nobody can predict the exact time. but we know where the active faults are.

    20 km West of mallard was the epicenter based on initial reporting.
    Basically 50 km as the crow flies from Tehran proper.

    Not clear if this was quake itself or the pre rumble
    It is better to be roughly right than precisely wrong

    کسی متوجه شده اکثرزلزله ها تو زمستون میاد ؟!!!ا
    خدا کنه تلفات جانی نداشته باشه
    وقت زلزله داشتم با دوستم تو کرج با تلگرام صحبت میکردم یکدفعه قطع شد
    و بعد از ده دقیقه گفت که زلزله اومد و ما ریخیتم تو پارک
    بعد از اون هم چند تا پس زلزله اومده ولی ارومتر بوده
    فیلم هم فرستاده مردم تو ریختن خیابون
