I don't get it. Isn't she supposed to be covered if she's officially boxing for Iran?

Damesh garm though!
She was not sponsored by Iran boxing fed and she fought outside Iran so nothing stopped her doing what she wanted.
She showed great courage and all through the rounds was going forward taking the fight to her opponent, she did very well.

So officially she can not be representing Iran. She says she wants to fight in the Olympics. But who for?
In Olympics you can only represent a country if you are sent there by that country's olympic federation.

Time will tell....
We have to wait and see how they deal with it.
She has received a great deal of publicity which is hard to ignore.
