My advice is to be and let it be. Don't get upset on what others say in an online forum no matter their affiliation. Life is too short to get upset by what you read online.

the problem with iranians, actually most people with the 3rd world mentality,
is they don't pay attention to details.and the 'smart westerners' exploit this to
the hilt to their advantage.

the official exchange rate is what it is

THE OFFICIAL EXCHANGE RATE.

that means if you enter iran as an american and want to exchange
your $ for rial you get 42105 rials for a $ as of today at the airport.
same with an iranian if they want to get $ to travel they get a certain
amount of $ at the 42105 rials for every $ they buy.

but next time i go to iran i can offer to sell my $ in iran for 1000,000 rials
and maybe some suckers will buy it.that's a private transaction that may
even be illegal.but no respectable financial institution will consider that
transaction as the official rate in their everyday business.

So you are dumb enough to exchange your $ for 4200 toman?

i come across as a 'stable genius' compared to all
the clowns commenting here and still unable to come
up with any justification for their wild claims.

if you think the exchange kiosk at tehran airport will
give you more rials per $ than the official rate then you
have not been to iran in a long time.

anyway i am going to iran this summer and i am planning
to take a few thousand $ with me.if you know any suckers who
want to pay me 250000 rials per $ pm me their info, por favor :ROFLMAO:

جهانگیری ۲۰فروردین۹۷: با دلار ۴۲۰۰ تومانی هیچ کالایی گران نخواهد شد

هیچکس نمیتونه در بازار اعلام کنه به دلیل یک قیمتی که معلوم نیست در کجا شکل میگیره کالای من گرون میشه، ما برای هر کالایی ارز ۴۲۰۰ تومنی تامین میکنیم

امروز بانک مرکزی: قیمت ارز ۱۶۲۰۰

Clearly a massive campaign by the central-bank mob to pump the Tehran Stock Exchange and the foreign currency market so people line-up to give away their Rials. In a few weeks or months the mob will deflate the value of stocks and artificially bring up the value of Rial so billions of dollars of the public's money disappears into abyss. This is how they're managing the unmanageable amount of money held by the general public (to control inflation).

They're taking back some of the printed money so they can print again.

Exactly. The IR stock exchange jumped up few days ago. It's completely artificial of course. Some stupid people were selling their house to invest on this market place.

The plan is to steal more money from the people to make ends meet for a little longer.

Where have we heard this before?

The plan is to steal more money from the people to make ends meet for a little longer.
Until recently, they could simply devalue Rial and pay their expenses using oil dollars. Now with little oil money coming in, they're stuck with what they have so devaluing Rial is not enough. What they're trying to do is reduce the amount of money out of their control (public's money) and creating dependence on the future supply of money. This is actually a direct attack on people's assets and liquidity.

The elimination of zeros is exactly in line with that policy as well. It will give the central bank even more control over the money-supply (in the short term anyway).

It's not a bad policy given the cards they've been dealt but none of this would even be needed if they didn't want to live سلحشورانه

Poverty and extreme dependence on handouts is in the horizon for Iran's general public as far as the eye can see.
