They are going down big time. The only Iranian wrestler i enjoy to watch is Geraei in 77 kg. This is a human highlight film. Always willing to go for big points and spectacular throws. Iranian style actually belongs to the more boring ones. Japanese in early weights are a joy to watch, they are chegher, fast and great fito specialists and i love fito. Armenians have a very athletic and dargir style and also very willing to ejraaye fan. Georgians are powerfull and gholdor ....abdevali has always been a disgusting piece of trash. I have seen an interview of him and had to laugh how dumb he actually is. An IQ level of a pice of bred ...if at all. Always simulates something whenever he has one of his mental break downs during a match and always a shameful loser, denying hand shakes, refusing to go to the middle of the mat, not shaking hands with the opponents coaches etc....a real pice of shit. He however is one of the few in that weight class that is able and willing to go for fito which is not an easy task. You need power to fito people in that weight class but he is always good for at least one mental breakdown per match and giving up big points at the end of the match.
That georgian kid Tsurtsumia in 55 kg was the star of the tournement. What a machine. Just won the junior world championship and now repeated it on the highest level of the seniors too.

I agree Tsurtsumia was incredible systematically destroyed the kazakh wrestler in the final and made him cry in front of his home crowd.

BRONZE Match - 130 kg: H. NABI (EST) v. A. GHASEMI

Ghasemi disqualified for being rough and repeated head buts, the ref kept warning him but he just didn't get it.

I said it months ago, i really like Geraei. Infact he is the only iranian wrestler that i like. Unlike most other iranians who have a rather boring, defensive and coward style, waiting for the opponent to get offensive, pushing, grabbing...instead of getting offensive themselves, Geraei, always comes to win in an offensive way. He always starts fast and as i said months ago, his only problem is that due to his offensive and open style he not only gets big points, he also gives up points easily but i like it. He a long with those great japanese in lighter weights, are always fun to watch. Geraeis throws and the japanese fitos (no one works on sar o gardan better than the japanese) are things of beauty.

Fumita (JPN) in 60 kg, is another great wrestler. What i like about these japanese is, most of the times, they dont just win, they destroy their opponents.

I watched it live couldn't believe how Fumita turned it around with ease utterly demolishing World class Russian Wrestler earning 10 points inside 28 secs
so impressive. This guy is unstoppable and has already got the Olympic gold in the bag :)

I love it how the japanese always refine their traditional strenght which is sar o gardan. They all are able to end a match very fast if you dont protect your sar o gardan. once they grab your head and shoulder, its over.

Just watched one of the best freestyle bouts in years live. Ehsanpoor just beat the Azari opponent Gvarzatilov in quarterfinals of 61 kilo but what a bout! 13-12 ...wow. A heck of a fight. Could have gone both ways. Video is still not up on youtube but dont miss it. Great stuff

Yes but unfortunately that match took alot out of Ehsanpour and was eliminated in a tight match against Idrisov from Russia in the semi final.
Great effort. Mazani Free stylers are very special.

It was man v boy .. Alireza Karimi didn't attack once in the entire match even at 4-0 down with 3 mins to go imo should've risked more, having said that J'den Cox is a strong power wrestler.

Karimi was intimidated by that big black guy before the match even started. Iranians sometimes really become cowards. Japanese and americans are different. They always attack, they always come to win and let everything on the mat and if its not enough at the end, so be it. Iranians become intimidated fast, they are mentally very shakey and thus you never know what they are about to deliver. That american dude had way more difficult bouts in previews rounds than against Karimi where he has actually never been in danger of giving up even a single point.
