we are ways away from even Iran attempting to close the Strait.
This is basically a last ditch option for Iran.
probably wont happen unless iran's oil export go all the way down 500K barrels per day.
moreover iran wont attempt to close the Strait as the first action. there will be gradual escalation of tensions.

then the u.s navy gets in to try to swipe them up.

at the very least the southern airports.

سالها پیش من و چوپان دیگری به نام فتح اله که همسن پدر من بود، گله روستا را به چرا می بردیم. مرز ده ما با ده مجاور که یک رودخانه پر آبی بود.
بین دو ده از سالیان دور بر سر ورود گوسفندان به مراتع یکدیگر اختلاف زیادی بود که گاها به زد و خورد هم می کشید.
یک روز از سر غفلت گله ما از رودخانه گذشت و به مراتع دشمن رسیده بود. ناگهان هیکل درشت و غضبناک غضنفر چوپان آن ده نمایان شد. گله ما را مصادره کرد. و گفت یکی از شما بیاید این ور آب تا گله را آزاد کنم. ما از نیت اصلی اش آگاه بودیم.
فتح اله به من گفت تو برو. من گفتم می ترسم مرا کتک بزند. فتح اله گفت: خودش و هفت جدش غلط می کند حتی اگر نگاه چپی به تو کند.
القصه من لرزان لرزان از رود گذشتم و به نزد غضنفر رسیدم ناگهان مرا گرفت و چوبش را به علامت زدن بالا برد. فتح اله از آن سوی رود داد زد و گفت اگر مردی و تخم پدرتی بزنش تا ببینی چه سرت بیاورم.
غضنفر ترکه گز را چنان به پای من زد که جیغ من به هفت آسمان رسید.
غضنفر رو به فتح اله کرد و گفت دیدی زدمش و تو هیچ غلطی نکردی.
فتح اله گفت فلان فلان .... اگر یکبار دیگر بزنیش دودمانت را ریشه کن می کنم
اینار غضنفز چنان با ترکه به پشت من کوبید که خون از پوستم بیرون زد. و گفت بفرما بازم زدمش
فتح اله این بار گفت فلان فلان شده قرمسا...
نه خیر من دیدم اگر رجز خوانی فتح اله ادامه پیدا کند غضنفر مرا نابود خواهد کرد. شروع کردم به التماس که ببخش. غلط کردم و تعهد می دهم دیگر گله وارد مراتع شما نشود.
غضنفر آخرین ترکه را البته کمی آرام تر بر کفل ما کوبید و رفت...
من، دست و پا و پشت شکسته گله را راندم و به نزد فتح اله آمدم،
داشتم بی هوش می شدم که شنیدم فتح اله می گفت: به روح پدرم قسم اگر یک بار دیگر تو را کتک زده بود، مادرش را به عزایش می نشاندم. من از هوش رفتم
حکایت با دم شیر بازی نکنیده..
