So who won the fight? BTW I love MMA because I compete in it for fun(I'm 32 man I'm not going to become a UFC champion too old) but I'm a boxing purist and I grew up watching boxing. Of course nothing will ever duplicate the golden era when we had legendary athletes like Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Patterson and many more. Then in the 80's the middle weights showed up and you had guys like Ray Boom Boom Mancini, Sugar Ray( think he was 80's) Roy Jones, Roberto "no mas" Duran lol then you had guys like Holyfield and Tyson and Oscar and now the Klitsko(spelling) brothers are just on beast mode and FMW is still ducking the Pacman. Wow that was a lot to type. Too bad I missed the fight. I think if the trend continues though, the UFC will take over boxing. There really are no stars like there was in the past and guys like FMW and Pacman are closing out their careers and the Klitsko brothers can't stay on top forever and Americans can't relate to Euro heavyweights so I worry about boxing. I'm glad there is at least one boxing fan I can talk to.

Oh and I was not born of course in the 60's but I watched the old tapes of the great ones because you can learn a lot and a lot of the movement in Mauy Thai and Boxing are very similar.

Wow! You managed to get a ticket and watch the fight that is bad ass man! I hate it when they stop the fight prematurely it is such a weak way to win the fight and they do it in the UFC all the time. Man you must of been on top of it to get the ticket. I"ll watch the clip you posted once I have some time bud. Best fight in 20 years huh dam I always miss the good ones hahaha.

I just watched the first fight but the "shoves" and trash talking is just grandstanding and a way for fans to talk about the fight it seems like in every UFC or boxing match the two who are going to square off get into some sort of "altercation." With that said I'm sure this was staged but it should be a good fight and I get what you are saying maybe the decision to stop the fight was premature. I originally grew up with boxing but in the last few years because I compete in ameture MMA, I watch the UFC fights but that is mainly because I like to study the good fighters. Believe it or not there are similarities between Mauy Thai and boxing a lot of the footwork and movements are the same. Actually, my boy who was an ameture boxer taught me the footwork and my MT instructor said, "Whomever taught you had to have a MT or boxing background right?" My response was right. Both are good sports just completely different. MMA is more all around and you need to worry about grappling and that is why I take BJJ but boxing or kick boxing or MT is a striking art.

Anyways I am rambling again it should be a good match mate I look forward to watching it.
