CQ had indicated he won't be returning as an Iran coach. He said its been a great 8 years and say good bye. Plus an idiot reporter asked him if he will "Apologize" to the Iranian people and CQ screamed at him that its you who should apologize.

It is unlikely that iran wil find a better coach any time soon.

non the less as i have said for a year it is time for him to leave. it is time for this team to experience another coach for better or worse (probably worse)

I like him, he did great things for our football - but he has nothing to add. Time to move on.
Carlos liked fighters and did get some good results, but in my opinion our biggest deficiency still remains unaddressed.
Our players generally start football on asphalt and develop great ball skills - a good manager must utilize on that. We need to play ball control possession football ON THE GROUND.
As evident with our 30% ball possession today, and the number of high balls crossed all over the field - we are far far from where we need to be. We need fast skilled midfielder many of whom I have seen around the league. How Carlos and IFF killed a great potential like Khalatbari career is beyond me......we need 3 of him in midfield.

On a different note - I am sure like me many of you have been bothered by our players constant bickering of referees - well today we paid the price while looking like idiots!
I hope our football management addresses this issue.

This is CQ for you, He can't and not capable of doing more and better. This was the easiest draw for him and TM to make the difference, one worthy opponent and he is out. one dimensional football as he did with any other teams he managed. if he can win a game that way then fine and if not then he is out like today..

There are tons of better coaches dude,. Come on what is this CQ fetish on this forum? thy guy has been managing this team for 8 fucking years.

There are tons of qualifies coaches out there. Ths CQ fetish is so annoying. 8 years and yet he could make a team to come back from behind. Let's say our first goal was an Own goal, what was his reaction in the last 30 minutes? you cannot always score a goal and then defend with 8 players. for that Salary you can bring many many many names to Iran ,believe me

Dude Iran lost because of idiotic loss of concentration on an amateurish play. At least be fair. That's not something he could have prevented. The manner the goal was scored completely paralyzed Iran. When you have 5 players running the ref and no-one is defending what do you expect? They took the cheapest goal by losing concentration.

Iran was attacking more and actually had edge over Japan until that mistake happened. From then on it was all a downfall. Then PK which in reality was not a PK and then you can't come back from 2-0 against Japan with 15 minutes to go. CQ could not do anything to prevent the idiotic mistake the players did to allow such an easy goal which deflated us so badly and shocked us mentally so bad where there was no point of return. All shocked and frozen. That's what happened at the end of the day.

We lost culturally and because of a lack of concentration and professional behavior. It all boiled down to that and Iran could not face the heat and simply folded at that time.

Bro , forget about the concentration of the players. let's say we conceded an OG and got behind like it happens to every team. if in football you concede a goal and lose concentration then what's the point of continuation of the game? as per you, he is a mastermind chess player no ? so hos did he respond?

If japan plays the bigs in Asia each 10 times.

chaces are they beat each of them 5 times. 3 ties. maybe 2 wins for the bigs.

Japan is simply overall better than Australia, Iran, South korea

You are very harsh towards CQ who's done so much for Iran and TM players.

Could you name a few big managers available right now?
Morinho? :)

The way the whole thing happened just drained Iran mentally. Iran has come back from behind. Against Iraq 4 years ago and against Portugal. The way this happened and followed by a BS penalty totally killed us. Regardless you got your wish and he is gone now.

I don't think MANY coaches who are better than CQ (and there are at least 10-20 of them) are willing to come to Iran. That is the issue.
