They are peeing in their pants.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – The Iranian government said it will permanently suspend Google Inc's email service in the country, the Wall Street Journal reported on its website on Wednesday.
The report comes as Iran braces for new opposition protests on Thursday during rallies marking the 1979 Islamic revolution. Protesters made use of modern networking tools such as Twitter and Gmail instant messaging last June after a disputed election plunged Iran into crisis.
Google is already at loggerheads with China's government after it threatened to withdraw from the country last month over claims of online attacks and issues over censorship.
Iran's telecommunications agency announced the suspension and said a national email service for Iranian citizens would soon be rolled out, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The Journal said it was not yet clear what effect the move has had on Google's Gmail service in Iran.
There was no immediate comment from Tehran, where it was after midnight when the news broke. Opposition leaders have called on supporters to take to the streets on Thursday, raising the risk of renewed violence.
Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The U.S. State Department could not confirm the report, but said any efforts to keep information from Iranians would fail.
"While information technologies are enabling people around the world to communicate ... like never before, the Iranian government seems determined to deny its citizens access to information, the ability to express themselves freely, network and share ideas," State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said.
"Virtual walls won't work in the 21st century any better than physical walls worked in the 20th century."

Guys,

No one know what will happen tomorrow, but regardless of what occurs tomorrow, the movement will have to continue. In my humble opinion unless there are mass strikes and closure of those institutions that can cripple the government (i.e., Oil and gas sector) mass demonstrations will not have the full effect that is required.

Not that I am not looking forward to seeing millions in the street, but demonstrations without strikes have little long term effect. Let's hope that the unions in Iran use these demonstrations as timelines for initiating the strikes and some real political initiatives.

Good post. The downfall will most probably have to be through an economical hit.

I am just wondering what the regime will do. Are they just going to let the whole world see that most of Iran is green (with presence of foreign journalists)? Or do they have a trick up their sleeve? Or they are so drunk that they think the green will be a minority.

I personally don't think much violence will break out and nothing significant on the surface will seem to take place, but in reality tomorrow will be the day the revolution takes another turn.

It will have 2 benefits:

1. More people will side with the green movement and the level of awareness will rise even higher (it's already very high)

2. Many greens will realize that this war will not be won on the street and it takes much more than peaceful demonstrations to defeat Sepah.

Right now, the level of awareness is high but so is naivety. Many think this is going to be a peaceful and quiet revolution. They're wrong. The price for freedom is much higher than what we've already paid and the nation needs to realize that. I'm certain our people are ready to pay the price in the long run, but they seem to not want to believe how huge it is.

It'll come, one way or another.

I agree that strikes and/or defections from the armed forces must happen in order for the movement to succeed.

Having said that, I've canceled every single engagement for tomorrow. I'll be glued to my monitor all night long.

I wonder if they also have enough forces to cover other towns like Isfahan, Shiraz,...,Gilan.
It sounds like all the forces are in Tehran.
