^^much better performance, yet again we saw the mental laps by tm, HH was our top scorer in this game, yet we failed to give him the ball more under the basket. we make tooooo many fouls in Q3 that gave Serbia free bee at the free throw line.

we definitely lack basic basketball 101. we need to work on our youth and teach them correct basketball.

paying ridiculous money to basketball players in our crappy Iranian league is not helping the cause.

these players need to get chewed up by the coaching staff after these games and be punished for their poor performance. at the level you can't make this silly mistakes. high school teams play much better basketball then iran.

the asian champions have been humbled really bad. and we still have France to play against and Egypt.

Agreed with Persian Eagle listen Iran is not going to beat those four teams Spain, Brazil, France and Serbia but at least this time we were able to somewhat compete(we lost under 20 at least). Also agreed it starts at the youth level and we need qualified coaches who will teach fundamental basketball like how to dribble, cross the ball over your legs back and forth, learn how and wen to take a fade away shot, learn how to box out and rebound, learn proper shooting mechanics etc things like that. I never played HS basketball but growing up in the US, you play so we know how to do all of that.
Even if you don't have a basketball court at your house, you can always go to a court and play ball. All you need is a pair of basketball shoes and you can get that for $30 and a ball($20). Hell one kid should have a ball anyways so you are fine even if you don't have one. You don't have that situation in Iran of course you have basketball courts and what not but the facilities compared to the US are nothing. You should see some of the elaborate HS basketball gyms. My HS just recently paid $6,000,000 to renovate their gym and add seats because they are usually pretty decent in basketball. They might be a rich public hs but $6,000,000 is a lot of money and most of that came from alumni donations because they usually do well in the playoffs. Our rivals lived in a not so good gym and they had an old beat up gym from the 1960's. They were an urban school so they got the $hit facilities. It's insane how much catch up we need to do that was the gist of what I was trying to say.
