Post match talk; The coach told the reporter that two of the players are injured, one with fever and the other one with the eye-injury. Didn't get the names, I think one of those two was the setter and the captain of the team, Maroof!

I didn't watch the game but seems like the young setter of Iran, Salafzoun who replaced Marouf had a hell of game, also coach played totally young line up, Manavi Nejad, Ebadipour, Masoud Gholami, Salafzoun, Saman Faezi, Mostafa Heydari and Ami Ghafour, all 25 years old or less. Even another veteran Adel Gholami was benched.

It is small sample but hope the young players get more chances, it is about the time to try new players, this generation has been around for about 7-8 years now.

Exactly, the team needs to be refreshed in order to challenge in 3 years at the Olympics.

This is the right time to start phasing out the older players and give the young players good experience.
The important thing is our youth players have all competed at high levels and are also very talented.

The boys are waiting for the next fight, couple of hours from now.
The captain seems pretty perceived and cool, I've heard he has been involved in a few brawling during his games.
Don't know if its true, shocking if true and does not fit the image people have from him.
