But you have to admit, Argentinian ain't no strong as Team-ComradeIvić.
Very dumb letting Argentinian get away with a game point here!

That was a great game.
Really nice to see Manavinejad step up like that.

I really hope volleyball in Iran can continue like this, but I sometimes think 20 years from now we'll look back with a lot of fondness and nostalgia for this stage of Iranian volleyball.

Iran will never have a world class setter like Marouf, he is the heart of this team, this is like having an elite quarterback in football, or elite center in hockey, having a guy like Crosby. I guess everyone else are replaceable but in long term the retirement of Marouf and at some extend Mousavi will be very huge for Iran.

Mohtashami has a point, Iran barely make any changes, and that game against Poland when coach had to play young line up was mainly due to injuries and big names having a terrible game. Teams use World League to try different combinations, look where Italy is standing now, the issue is since Vlasco left, some names such as Marouf and Mousavi, etc became bigger than team. Why players should decide about his playing time and playing games?

The American commentator said that the former coaches both said Iranian players don't want to train and work hard because they are high paid sports stars in Iran. I didn't know they get paid a lot.
