The Islamist have tried for centuries to do just that and have failed time and time again. No matter what Iranians have always held on to their history and remained faithful to their past. That is the only reason that we are speaking Farsi and not Arabic today. At the end of the day that is what really separated us from the other great civilizations that have come and gone.
