The fact that this is even possible signals a problem with the sport. I hope this changes in the future. Trophies should only be won via goals and goal-differences. Football should only be played to score goals.

I'm glad shit like this hasn't happened since Euro 2004 (Greece), but I see another one happening soon if nothing is done about it.

that scenario holding up for 30 teams , gives 3% chance at the most prior to the first whistle. Even with winning frist three games our boys would be so exhausted may be time to quit.

If we want to be "realistic" it is realistic for Iran to win 1-0 against Morocco and Portugal (both not the greatest firing power against compact defensive teams) and lose with 4-0 to Spain and then go on that run you write about. That would actually be as realistic as Greece winning it back then or Leicester winning the league.
