Iran’s president cancels visit to Russia over political tensions

RABAT, June 15 (Itar-Tass) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has cancelled his visit to Russia scheduled for Monday over tense political situation inside the Islamic republic.
Ahmadinejad won last Friday’s presidential election, but the opposition demands a revote calling the elections a fraud.
Earlier, it was planned that the Iranian president would take part in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Yekaterinburg.
