Man it looks like people in Kazakhstan have nothing to do all year but to prepare for Asian Games! The old Soviet athleticism is quite evident in them!

Well , they used to spend a fair bit of their time hosting this guy below.and we all know how that futile effort ended up in tears and rage.

Iran lost a very close Final to powerhouse India by 27-25 and won Silver in this Asian Games. excellent match and a great effort by Iran which was leading India at half time and eventually lost it to India's experience and a couple of instances of poor defending that gave India some crucial points late in the 2nd half.

Iran's Kabadi program has been successful with 2 Silver medals for Men & Women in this Asian Games.

Bronze

Fatemeh Chalaki (61 kg) from Shahi (Ghaemshahr) , Mazandaran defeated S.Korean fighter and won Bronze.

Chalaki had won Silver in 2010 Asian Games.

Fatemeh Chalaki (61 kg) from Shahi (Ghaemshahr) , Mazandaran defeated S.Korean fighter and won Bronze.

Chalaki had won Silver in 2010 Asian Games.

Farzan Ashoorzadeh (-58 kg) won an exciting bout against China by 11-10 and advanced to semi-final. end to end action in this great bout.

Fatemeh Rohani (73 kg) is from Shahrood , Semnan and lives in Varamin.

She just defeated the fighter from Kuwait and advanced to Final for Gold.

Rohani Mochakerim.

Rohani has won several medals in Youth Asian Championships and was Bronze medalist in 2012 Senior Asian Championship.

I don't really follow the games but looking at the medals table, how can you end up with nearly 3000 medals? They must count individual medals in team sports in this. Ridiculous.

Nope. each team sport medal counts for only 1 medal.

Fantastic fight by young Farzan Ashoorzadeh (-58 kg) to defeat World Champion Chen from Taiwan and advance to Final for Gold.

He's barely 19 years old and has won Gold in 2013 Asian Championship.
