IRAN in 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship

Whats up with us always getting hardest Pools. I don't get it.. its been 2 years in a row we were in very tough pools in every tournament...

Well , we are ranked high enough to skip Intercontinental pre-qualifications and go directly into top tier which is Group - 1. Group - 1 consists of 2 Pools (A & B). We got Pool - B. Pool - A has Brazil , Italy , Serbia , Australia in it. similar difficulty at such high level.

The commentator in BEIN just said, there is another tournament next summer called World Cup beside the World League. is that true. so we got two tournament next year?

Italy is Italy. chances are that they'll come back very strong. Serbia is an excellent team.they missed the World League Finals in last game loss to eventual winners USA and finished a close 3rd behind USA & Russia. Brazil needs no explanation. and we won't be grouped with Australia anyways. that Pool - A is actually higher ranked than our Pool - B. but in the end we'll have to see what teams show up stronger than others when the actual competition starts.

2 teams advance from each of Pool-A and Pool - B. but if one of the teams from either Pools gets to host the Finals then that Pool's 2 top teams + host will advance to Finals.

Perhaps either Russia or Poland get to become host.
