That is very impressive and I did not even know Iran had a Sanda team. I never took it but I know what it is, it is based off of the principles of Kung Fu, it combines elements of striking, with grappling. They intertwine kickboxing, with wrestling etc. It h includes close range and rapid successive punches and kicks, with wrestling take downs throws etc. That is a very impressive result seven gold medals and one silver, China finished 2nd with seven gold and one silver, host Russia fished third. I did not know that Russia was hosting the tournament and I am guessing we got more points than China and that is how we leapfrogged them. I am happy to see that martial arts is thriving in Iran, that puts a smile on my face.
