Azmoun also scored Rubin's second goal in a friendly against a Norwegian team which they won by 3 goals. He was replaced by Shekari after about 60 min. or so.

It is great that all our attacking players are doing great: Jahanbakhsh, Gucci, Karim, Kaveh, Alipour, Taremi, Ghoddos... hopefully Azmoun would continue like this.

Iran’s Ashkan Dejagah Sidelined until April

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Nottingham Forest’s Ashkan Dejagah has undergone surgery on an injury and is understood to be facing up to two months on the sidelines.

Reds boss Aitor Karanka revealed the Iran international suffered a knee injury in training last week – and he could now be ruled out of action until April, nottinghampost reported.

The 31-year-old has only made one appearance for Forest, following his move to the City Ground on a deal until the end of the season on transfer deadline day last month.

He made his debut as a sub for the Reds in their 2-0 defeat to his former club Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Wenger A Fan of 'Marvelous' Iranian Striker Ghoddos
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger admits he's a fan of Iranian Ostersund striker Saman Ghoddos.

Wenger was impressed by Ghoddos in the first-leg of their Europa League tie and talked him up ahead of Thursday's clash.

"The most impressive player in the first game was Ghoddos, who was a marvelous player technically, tactically," enthused Wenger.

"They are a team that plays good football. Do I want him on the team? We're not in the transfer period," he added.

"What is absolutely vital is we go into the game with a good focus to win it. It's a good opportunity for the players to show they have the quality to compete at this level," Wenger declared.
