Iran Signs Deal With Syria to Deepen Military Cooperation

Iran said Monday that it had agreed to a deal to deepen military cooperation with Syria, reaffirming its intention to remain in the country despite moves by the U.S. and its allies to contain Tehran’s military reach.

Iran and Syria reached the deal following meetings Sunday between their defense ministers and Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad, according to Iran’s semiofficial Tasnim News Agency. The report offered no further details. Syrian state-linked media said the two sides reaffirmed the need the develop long-term cooperation, but made no mention of a new deal.

Iran has sent thousands of its own and allied forces to Syria to fight alongside Mr. Assad’s troops, and has also supported the Syrian regime with weaponry and oil.
The move to further cement the partnership comes as the Trump administration and Israel amplify calls for Iran to withdraw completely from Syria. Beating back Tehran has been a central goal of U.S. foreign policy under President Trump, who withdrew the U.S. in May from the Iran nuclear deal and has started reimposing sanctions that had been lifted under the Obama-era pact.
Iranian forces have been involved in Syria’s civil war since 2013, coming to the aid of Mr. Assad as he fended off a challenge from rebel groups and Islamic State extremists. Russia intervened to support Mr. Assad in 2015, helping him gain the upper hand in the conflict, which has now stretched more than seven years.
With Mr. Assad tightening his grip, the U.S. and Israel are worried that Iranian influence is now entrenched in Syria. Mr. Trump wants to prevent Iran developing ballistic missiles and expanding a military footprint that could threaten Israel or other U.S. allies in the region.

there seems to be an ongoing shift in iran's strategy in dealing with the
threats coming from the semitic-axis-of-evil in isreal & saudi.
there are reports that iran is basing missiles in iraq near the coalition
forces who are mainly american.in fatc, iran is helping iraq in developing
it's own missile program.this put iraq on the isreali hit list but they can not
act freely as the usa is still very much present in iraq and has to come to
their defense if isreal acts.moerover, the proximity of the iranian missile
sites to american forces makes this a paramount issue for the safety of
american forces in the area.
similarly iran is helping syria in it's missile industry and has been moving
some of their assets verry close to the russian forces in syria. again this
will limit isreal's ability to operate against these forces.further, with syria
soon getting the s-400 defense from russia, iran can rely on a much better
defensive umbrella in protecting it's strategic and economic assests.
and there is also the hizbulah in lebanon on a 3rd front.iran is basically
tightening the noose around isreal's neck with this strategy making their
operations much more complicates as they now have to think about 3 fronts
if they want to engage iran in a serious manner.which is precisely why the
isreali goons are barking like mad dogs and threatening iran with nukes.

fm zarif was in syria today and gave them the green light
to go after the isreali/saudi terrorists in idlib.
let the final act begin.

Iran FM says 'terrorists must be purged' from Syria's Idlib

DAMASCUS, Syria – Iran's foreign minister said at the start of a visit to Damascus on Monday that "terrorists must be purged" from Syria's Idlib and the entire northwestern province returned to government control.

Mohammad Javad Zarif's comments in Damascus were reported by the semi-official Fars news agency and came as Syrian forces and their allies are preparing for an assault on Idlib, the last opposition stronghold in the country.

"Syria's territorial integrity should be safeguarded and all tribes and groups, as one society, should start the reconstruction process, and the refugees should return to their homes," Zarif said.

iran threw a one two combination on the kurdish terrorists based
in iraq.3 of their convicted terrorists where executed and their political
wing was decimated by an iranian missile strike.the message was
heard in all the intended locations.

IRAN’S ATTACK ON KURDS IS A MESSAGE TO WASHINGTON, RIYADH AND JERUSALEM

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran claimed credit for a missile attack on Kurdish opposition groups in Koya in northern Iraq. The attack on Saturday killed a dozen and wounded numerous others. It was the first time Iranian forces had used this kind of precision missile attack deep inside Iraq. The brazen daylight missile attack is a message from Tehran to the region that it can do what it wants, not only in neighboring Iraq, but throughout the Middle East. In the last year Iranian missiles and Iranian-supported groups using Tehran’s technical advisors have targeted Saudi Arabia from Yemen and Israel from Syria. As Washington seeks to pressure Iran, the missile threat is clear indication that Tehran is flexing its muscles in the face of sanctions.

The IRGC attempted a decapitation strike against the Kurdish KDP-I, an opposition group that has a headquarters in Koya. Numerous senior leaders were present and a missile crashed into the building where they were meeting. This was a precise and unprecedented strike. Although Iran has targeted Kurdish groups in Iraq before, and it has fired missiles at other opposition groups, the missiles used in this attack were precise and showcases Iranian intelligence operations and know how.

looks like the show of force had it's effects.
iraqi parliament selects a 37 year old pro-iran sunni
politician as it's new speaker.
pm selection is the next topic.

Iraq parliament elects nominee of pro-Iran list as speaker

Under an unofficial agreement dating back to 2003, the prime minister position is reserved for Shiites, president is a Kurd, and parliament speaker a Sunni

When a regional power wants to assert itself and intimidate its rivals, it has several options: Stage a military exercise, test a missile, maybe even have a high-ranking general deliver a threatening speech. Rarely does signaling deterrence mean killing innocents.

Yet this is exactly what Iran did earlier this month when it launched a barrage of missiles at the headquarters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, or KDPI, during a meeting of its 21-member central committee. Six of its members were killed, according to one of the survivors, Khalid Azizi, a member of the committee.

The strike was significant for a few reasons. First, its location: outside of Iranian territory, in northern Iraq. Iran has supported militias that have killed Iraqis and coalition forces in Iraq since the U.S.- led invasion in 2003. But it has not launched a direct military strike into Iraqi territory since the mid-1990s, during the Kurdish civil war.

More important, Iran faces no real danger from the Kurds, especially the KDPI. Some Kurdish separatists in Iran have conducted attacks on Iranian targets over the years. But the KDPI has pursued a nonviolent strategy for equal political rights in Iran. There is “no evidence” that the KDPI was launching terrorist attacks, said Michael Rubin, an expert on Iran and Iraq at the American Enterprise Institute. He called the group “basically a coffee klatch for Iranian Kurdish exiles.

There will be paybacks and I hope your klan pays for it..

the semites pushed their luck too far with the terrorist attack
on syria last week while hiding behind a russian military plane.
the military plane got hit and the russians had 15 dead on their hands.
so now they are gonna deliver s300 to syria in the next 2 weeks.
i bet a shekel the iranian and syrian airmen are looking forward to
some f16 hunting if nutty gets suicidal now.
for the time being brace yourself for some typical semite whining.

Russia to provide S-300 missile defense system to Syria within two weeks

Russia will supply an S-300 air defense missile system to Syria within two weeks as a response to the downing of an Ilyushin military plane over the war-torn country last week, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced on Monday.

The delivery of the advanced missile defense system to Syria is “an adequate response” toIsrael’s role in the downing of the Russian plane last week, he was quoted as saying by Russia media during a briefing.

From the general vibe of it you live in a western country, why don't you move to Russia for maximum safety?

this is the reality of Iran, don't get excited about syria, felestin and yeman. The motherfuckers you drool over hearing news of, will at some point end up like Saddam, then if you have the balls to come out and publicly express your support, bache naneh.

looks like the rest of the world is finally coming up with a plan
to counter american financial terrorism.they have to since once
it is used against anyone it can be used against all.
this is very significant as iran has finally succeeded to create a
gap between eu and the usa in dealing with iran.that was the
whole purpose of the nuclear negotiations back in 2014-15
time frame but obama's team was too smart to let it happen.
trump's team is just not that bright.

EU, China and Russia in move to sidestep US sanctions on Iran

The European Union, Iran, China and Russia have set out a plan to sidestep unilateral US sanctions designed to cripple the Iranian economy and force the Iranians to renegotiate the nuclear deal signed in 2015.

European diplomats hope the proposed measure – known as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) – will help persuade an increasingly reluctant Iran to stay inside the deal in the hope of rescuing its economy.

Speaking on the sidelines of the UN general assembly in New York, Federica Mogherini, the EU external affairs chief, said the SPV was designed to facilitate payments related to Iran’s exports – including oil – and imports, so long as the firms involved were carrying out legitimate business under EU law.

The aim is to make the SPV available not just to EU firms but to others, she added.
