So the social media sensitivity is not only regarding to Azmoun, he overall has a sensetive character as once Wenger described it well.

I think he will be back, he played around 100 matches for Germany, they won't let him go like this and he is only 29. But overall his game dropped compare to few yrs ago.

Correct but these are two different cases. Ozil's case is completely political as he was hit by some influential journalists and sports media and he knows there is no end to it. Azmoun, however, was just criticised by some random posters for not pushing forward for a goal. unless he was provoked by some legit critics which I'm not aware of.

Another Western son of immigrant spoiled brat crying racism against the country that made him, when in fact he is really shit. I am sick of his sort. You love Tuurki so much then pack your fucking bags and move over there.

Anyway, it's not like he set German football on fire. In years to come he won't be in anyone's list of great German players.

This is how I feel, yet our own players took various pictures with our own political men and presidents who fit the same category.

Ozil and turkish butcher back in May druing happy times..

If you're a Muslim with a Turkish background who wants to take pictures with a murderer like Erdogan, you better play some incredible football during the World Cup to be considered a worthy German. Or you could be Ozil :)

Erdogan is the same guy who drove German tanks into Afrin and the EU is paying billions to keep refugees off the EU. How is he not supposed to take a picture with a politician, that is respected by Europeans? It's not like he took a photo with Hitler.

Name a better German number 10 than Özil over the past 30 years. Thanks.

It actually very much is. A Turk Hitler. Erdogan might have some rep with some European idiots, but at this point in time he's nothing short of a well known mini-Hitler who hasn't got his hands on the gas chambers yet.
Erdogan is the most open minded and liberal president Turkey has had ever.
Its been nothing but genocidal fascists running that place since Ataturk the Kurd and Armenian killer started his cult.

People have short memories. Turkey was a country that looked poor compared to Iran even in the early 90s!
Kurds were called mountain Turks.
Freedom of press was nil.
Military and intelligence agencies made lives of people hell while there was basically a civil war.
People could drink so our sadeh compatriots thought there was freedom.

Erdogan has significantly approved the lives of ordinary Turks. Yes, the pseudo-intellectual elites of Istanbul might not like him, but the teacher who works in a small town in central turkey can breathe a bit easier with his family.

And if Germans want to criticize Ozil for a photo they can go yell at Merkel or whatever CEO is selling weapons to some fat sheikh in Saudi.

I lived in Turkey in mid 90s and i have witnessed how people struggled there. The economy and dollar instability was worse than Iran. Way worst.
I travelled to Turkey 7-8 years ago and have talked with various group of people from different ages and social classes and pretty much everyone were saying it is day and night compare to 90s or even before.
Yes the number of people wearing Hijab increased immensely, even in a city such as Istanbul which was always European looking, but people seems to be happy overall.

is there discrimination against "Turks" in Germany? you bet you. (is it as bad say the southern United States. hell no)

I had an Iranian/German friend whose dad was iranian mom was german. she has never traveled to iran. Her Dad basically impregnated the Mom in the 70s. Had basically had 2 months of interactions with her dad total. but her mom decided that she should have her Dad's last name.

She has professional job. but to this day she says she faces discrimination trying to rent a house.

As for Ozil. let's face if there was jewish/German player that took a photo with Netanyahu the German Media would not dare or have the balls to question that player.

Ozil perfomrance is certainly not on par with his performance say 4 years ago. But there is this myth that somehow an athlete with great skills can also get away with doing unpopular things.

Remember Mohmmad Ali during his best years chose not to go Vietnam and paid the price for having the title be taken away from him. at the end of the day you should do what you believe is right.

in this particular case Ozil is not a saint worth crying about. it is not as if he took a photo with Mandella and got slapped for it.

He took a photo with a strong-man.
