Do what Japan did, deploy a system, not a coach so as a result you will go to the Asian cup final 5 times and win 4 of them with different coaches but that will be a dream in Iran and will never happen with this administration and legislation.
Well, Taj (IFF boss) claimed he sent people to Japan to study their system and now they will try to implement it in Iran!

It will take many years but let's see if they'll be successful.

I was in the stadium and I didn't see a team. Everybody was playing for himself, even the quiet Sardar was very upset and nervous.

Iranians are irrational and ehsasati and they could never make sure their surroundings dont interfere into their professional life and if that surrounding means living and breathing the polluted air of that islamic government and all the misery they themselves and their families have to deal with on daily basis, then its only understandable. Those players are also the products of that same sick and ill society, those guys dont work on normal terms, their thoughts are not normal, their values are not normal, how should they football be normal? How do you want to tell players who are born and raised with irrationality, religion, harfe zoor zadan o khordan, kotak zadan o khordan, nokar boodan o nokar gereftan, baaj gereftan o baaj daadan, doroogh goftan o doroogh shenidan...that now they all of a sudden have to focus on rational and universal stuff like tactics, disciplin, value of physical and mental training, ....its not gonna work. To those who think we defended well, no we didnt even defend well. Those morrocans should have easily scored 5, 6 goals in the first 30 minutes alone. It was only due to their own sheer dumbness that the IR team was still in the game after first half.

Making a long story short: Get down god himself and let him coach these guys and the outcome would be the same. The problem is not the coach, the problem with us iranians is IR -willingly or unwillingly- being in our taaro pood making us become rotten by each day, getting us away from everything universally standard. Be it mentally, socially, culturally, educationally, sports....whatever.

Yes, it is possible.
A lot of the hype we know as football system of a country or formations implemented by teams are "the emperor's new suit".
Football is a simple game that needs conditioning, skills and fast-decision-making capabilities, unity as a team and psychological strength. The rest of that is not the content, is merely the shell.

No, football is not that easy and simple. you should visit one of those football academies in europe and see what football is all about. Psychology, food, conditioning, tactics, technics, formations, ...and all that in numerious variations. Yes, footballe deymi is easy and simple and this is what you guys are watching from your IR team for several decades now. You are happy with that? then its all good, no complaints at all. You want more? You want to play at a semi standard universal level like Japan? Its not gonna happen. That IR team could very well beat japan every now and then on a good day and on a bad japanese day but the chances they go down against them more often than not are a lot higher. IR is 50 years of hard word in all aspects behind likes of Japan, let alone the standards of european football. With that kind of mentality, with that kind of world view, with that kind of sickness deep inside, there is no chance for the IR to compete on a high level and play a good universal football on regular basis.

So you say that Columbia or Costa Rica are superior to the Netherlands in recent years?
Or Brazil has a better system than England?
Or Mexico is not a rotten society?
Or Nigeria is better than Canada?
Or Mali is even a civil society?
Or US does not have a good sporting program in football? Or Chinese are rookies in sport?

In case of Japan, they tried it in 1960s and miserably failed. In late 80s, they put entire Japanese wealth and management behind the football cause. It was only in 2006 that they could even advance the Asian qualifications for the world cup. Up to now they have not achieved crap outside Asia. So don't get too excited if they win some trophies competing likes of Iran, Qatar and India! The same country mastered in almost anything else in science and technology that they decided to.

For the last 40 years I have been following football I have seen all sorts of these HajRezaee assessments in different coats, it is just a hype, don't fall for it.

Its so funny....people are actually seeing from first hand how this country is going down the gutter, they see how this so called football team is not progressing like they should or could and still find excuses like what is with Mali? Mexico, Nigeria...and senseless comparisons like this. But ok, lets see:
No, Mexico is a heaven compared to IR. There is impact no place more rotten than IR Iran.
Mali and Nigeria? Well those guys could do a lot better if they had better governments and societies as africans in general are talented and physically gifted as hell. Now due to their ties to europe as former colonies, they have priceless advantages compared to Iranians. as soon as a Malian or Nigerian kid shows the slightest talent, he gets invited to some french, belgian or english team so their talent dont get lost at home. Africans however do have different mentalities, due to them actually not knowing any better, they dont get as depressed as we iranians. they just function differently. Iranians though are exposed to many fucked up aspects of life and deep down, they know it actually should be alot better than it actually is.
costa rica? Its a heaven compared to IR. Dont even go there.

At the end of the day, you could try to sugar coat it as much as you want but in case of Iranians, they simply are not the kind of people who could blossom in such a sport under current circumstances. Their heads are not ready for universal stuff. They think small because they ARE small and their country is not doing anything to make them think any better. they are still andar khame ye koocheh.

More or less they are clearing the way for Branko with 1-2 Iranian assistants.
Yes I get it, the country as a whole can set aside a few $Ms a year for a reputable manager, but more money for a manager means less money in the pot for IFF officials to steal.

After revolution, we rarely had qualified managers.

The best of them, Hasan Habibi, Talebi and Yavari, were nothing more than mediocre.
Dehdari, Parvin, Shahrokhi were never formally trained as managers, and mainly coached using their reputation to enforce discipline. Give or take, they all failed.
Cheraghpour, ZolfagharNasab, were only bookworms without any expertise.
Mayeli was certifiable.
PourHeydari was a gentleman and that is all, he was lucky he took over a very bright squad.

Daei has no talent in coaching. GN was good talent, but never bothered to go to higher courses. Maybe because he quickly realized he could make high dollars without it in IPL.

Blazevich really was good, I was surprised he came to Iran, but he proved he was old and in Iran to slow down. His problem was atrophied balls, slowly shrinking brain, and a lot of lip service.

Branko and Ghotbi, were assistant coaches at best. They owe Iran anything they have as managers. They are good but not enough if you want to do well beyond Asia.
Even CQ was facing allegations and had a track of poor results immediately joining Iran and that is why he came to Iran.

Because of the political climate, no one in sane mind would like to come to Iran as first option. Even if they come, unless if they are a tough cookie like CQ, they will run away immediately as Ari Han did.

Japanese try to play real football even if they lose. Iranians only defend cause they can't do better.
Somehow, we Iranian always think we are better than we are. Like people compared Ali Karimi with best European players i.e. we are delusional.
I have to say this though, with this shitty system, our kids are over-performing.
