My players scorecard (0-worst, 10-best) based on expecttaions:

Mirzapour: 8 (played a great game, and was not responsible for any of the goals)
Rezaei: 7 (Completely shut down Pauletta)
Nosrati: 6.5 (Aside from faking injury, he had a couple of good runs)
Golmohammadi: 4 (Nothing much, and gave away a penalty)
Bakhtiarizadeh: 6: (saved a sure goal in the few minutes he was on)
Kabi: 9 (Did great. Should control his Abadani attitude and stop kicking people twice his size).
Teymourian: 7
Nekounam: 7.5
Karimi: 4
Madanchi: 6.5 (good defending and good runs)
Zandi: 7 (Made an immediate impact as soon as he came in)
Mahdavikia: 7.5 (the engine of the team)
Hashemian: 4.5 (Ran a lot, but our main forward gave away the ball every time they passed the ball to him)
Khatibi: 6 (made a good impact when came in)

Karimi was invisibale.
Hashemian: did a great first half but his aweful game in the end of the second half brings down his grade!
Golmohammdi was good until he gave away a penalty.

The rest of our players were good. here is their grades...

Mirzapour: 9 (perhaps he played the game of his life?)
Kabi: 9 (With his small physique, he was still a wall for both Figo and Ronaldo. I smell a European contract).
Golmohammadi: 5 (the penalty brings down his grade)
Rezaei: 6.5 (He was ok).
Nosrati: 7.5 (I thought he had a great game)
Teymourian: 7 (good and consistent as always)
Nekounam: 7.5 (considering that he was awaiting a contract in Europe, I think the offers will still be there)
Mahdavikia: 7.5 (good game. what's happened to his long fast runs? but all in all consistent).
Madanchi: 7 (he had a great game. great runs with speed. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a European contract as well).
Karimi: 3
Hashemian: 6

Subs:

Khatibi: 7 (had the speed, good game)
Zandi: 8 (Great game in the little time he played. Too bad he's been ill)
Bakhtiarizadeh: 7 (He was also ok. Better than Golmohammadi).

All in all, most of our players played really good. We shall just accept that Portugal is a much better team! We need years of experience, pro. league and decent organization to reach their level.

They put a good show in terms of doing their best. Portugal was just way better and more confident.
We lost so much time with Branko when we should have been prepared with a guy with big name in charge. It would have boosted our confidence. Also lack of games against good teams hurt our confidence and harmony. We obviously were out of steam in both games that questions the physical training strategies adopted by the coach.
I think we also have suffered in our sports med department. Dr. Khanlary, the young dude, is a general practitioner with no formal sport medicine training. A national team requires a much more knowledgable doctor, someone who knows more than spraying lidocaine. Preferably a team including orthopedist and PMR subspecialized in sports med in the West and experienced in top clinics or teams in football nations like Germany or England. Those specialists could have diagnosed the injuries and accelerated the recovery of stars like karimi that our team was so dependant on them. I don't think even Angola is there with a GP in charge of their medical affairs.

Nice try by boys and very poor job by IFF.
