Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how a SMS date time stamp works. Is it done by the phone that sends the message or SMSC when it processes the SMS? Also any idea how long a SMS is stored on SMSC if a phone is off.

Thanks

i don't think it's from the phone that sends it.. cuz i hadn't replied to someone once so i thought i'd try this and see if it works.. i changed the time on my phone to a few hours ago and sent a text but it still had the right time on it (i did it to someone else's phone as a test first!).. and i don't know how long they're stored.. would guess can only be a couple of days though?
