Superleague to replace Champions league ?

The European Super League and the end of the Champions League could be closer than ever. There is already agreement between 16 major European football teams to create the former starting in 2021, that would end the latter competition as we know it.

According to Football Leaks, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Liverpool and Milan, as founding teams, and Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, Inter and Roma, as guests, would be the clubs that would form part of this new competition.

Those 16 have signed the agreement and are willing to leave the Champions League and enter a new sporting adventure, which will change the European footballing landscape forever.

The format of the competition would have two phases, a first preliminary in which teams would be integrated into different groups, and a subsequent round of eliminations.

In addition, there would be the option that this European Super League will have a second division in which the best qualified would have options to be promoted.

The creation of this competition would have important economic consequences, since it would break the competitive balance of the national leagues.

Clubs that participate in this new competition would earn more money than the rest, making the differences between other teams in each country even greater.

Everything is ready
If UEFA doesn't react to the latest scandal, the big teams have everything ready to go.

They want PSG and Manchester City to compete on equal terms with other teams, something they don't do now, as Football Leaks have revealed.

Clubs belonging to the new European Super League would automatically be separated from UEFA and would no longer belong to them.

A new order is coming

Pros:
- It will raise the level of football played at top level to new heights.
- Less bullshit games
- Top players remaining fresher and less chance of injury
- Lots of juicy games

Cons:
- Massively widens the financial gap between giant clubs and smaller ones. The TV rights for this competition will be absolutely insane compared to what other tournaments will get.
- There will be a significant gap in the quality of these giant teams and other teams. Eventually they may stop participating in their national leagues altogether (there will be less incentive)
- No more dark horses or surprise results.
- Most clubs in Europe will never host a top team in their stadium again.

I don't want teams to play in super league as well as their home league.

just one league; or two. where they play league games as well instant knockout tournaments .

teams can get relegated to their leagues like EPL.

Don't want to say SerieA is the strongest league now but it definitely is one of the strongest and the gap between them and three other leagues: EPL, La Liga, and Bundesliga is not much. However SerieA is absolutely head and shoulder above Ligue1 and in terms of technicality it is arguably the most technical league in the world, they just lack the funds of other top leagues but the quality is as good as others if not better. When Italian teams had the funds, they absolutely dominated Europe in every level and were head and shoulder above the rest, and still after two decades of financial crisis and mismanagement, Calcio is still one of the best in world football. Of course, there are people who have always hated Italian football and never hesitate to down play the beauty of Calcio, those people are just irrational and biased.

The gap has indeed shrunk. Calcio was insanely hot in late 80s and early 90s. Besides Barca, I was a serious Inter fan (mostly because of Klinsmann) and followed the league eagerly. Then EPL started and the money-flow in it became much bigger than other leagues. That was the start of decline for all other leagues. Then the whole Italian match-fixing scandal and crappy economy crippled Calcio. It's far from its glorious days, but it's slowly catching up. It's 3rd behind both EPL and La Liga and perhaps on-par or even better than Bundesliga. In my opinion Bundesliga these days is not all it's hyped up to be. League1 is a joke. I don't even know why people bother with that league.

All these so called "top" leagues are shit to be honest. More than half the teams in all of them are absolutely hopeless. Something needs to change. Either lessen the number of teams in the top division or create that damn Super League thing. The way it currently is sucks.
