The whole world is headed towards the pussified direction. Look at how soft basketball has come and now for over a decade or two you can't even hand check anymore. What the fuck is that. Or American football is becoming softer by the day. You get paid the big bucks and are there to perform then take it and just do it. Definitely they are making sports way too soft. I like having rivalries and bullies and mean characters which you can cheer against or for. I think as long as violence is not advertised and practiced other actions are all entertaining and cool to have.

The penultimate phase of the Champions League group stage has arrived and there are many things still to be decided.

Only Barcelona have secured a place in the knockout round, although it remains to be seen if they will advance as table-toppers.

Monaco, PSV, Lokomotiv, AEK Athens, Viktoria Plzen and Young Boys are already eliminated from the competition and another 15 teams are fighting for qualification.

Teams such as Atletico Madrid, Porto, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid can secure their last 16 berth this week, while others such as PSG, Valencia andManchester City will be in difficult positions if they fail to win.

We look at the eight groups and the things that could be decided this week.

Group A

Atletico Madrid welcome Monaco to the Estadio Wanda Matropolitano on Wednesday, with the Ligue 1 club already eliminated from contention and with a victory ensuring the Spanish side's mathematical qualification.

First place is still up for grabs and Dortmund welcome Brugge to Germany as the visitors still harbour slim hopes of qualification.

If the Belgians win on the road, they would reach matchday six with a chance to progress.

A draw would mean they are eliminated and leave Dortmund with a chance to top the group.

In the event that they are level on points after six games, Borussia's 4-0 win over the Rojiblancos would be decisive.

Group B

Barcelona reach matchday five as the only team already through because even in the unlikely event that they lose their remaining two games and were left in a three-way tie with Inter and Tottenham, they would still progress.

However, they can make sure of first place by picking up three points and a win over PSV, who are out, would secure that.

Tottenham vs Inter will be a decisive game, though.

If the English side win, they would be level on points with the Nerazzurri and second place would be up for grabs on the final day.

However, if Inter prevail then they would be mathematically through to the knockout phase.

Group C

Anything can happen in an exciting Group C.

Everyone can still make it through and everyone can still be eliminated.

PSG vs Liverpool will be like a final for both teams and whoever wins will probably have a great chance to be in the knockout phase, while a draw would put Napoli into pole position, as they welcome Red Star Belgrade to the Stadio San Paolo.

Liverpool host Napoli on the final matchday which is why last year's finalists' run-in is so difficult, although at this time they do sit in second ahead of Paris Saint-Germain by a solitary point.

Group D

With 10 points, Porto lead the way in Group D, where Schalke are in second.

The Portuguese welcome their chasers to the Dragao in a clash that will decide who makes it through.

If Porto win, they will go through as winners, while if Schalke win then they will be through to the next round, although top spot would still be up for grabs.

A draw would benefit the Portuguese side, while, for their part, Galatasaray can still make it through but they need two wins and must hope that the Germans are beaten in their remaining two games.

Group E

Bayern Munich welcome Benfica to the Allianz Arena and a victory would put them into the last 16.

Ajax visit Athens, who are already out, and are unlikely to reach the Europa League either so everything points to first place in Group E being decided by a direct clash between Ajax and Bayern next month.

Benfica can make it through too, but they must win their last two games and hope that Ajax fail to score a point in one of their two games.

Group F

Group F is one of the most open as everyone can still advance and everyone is still at threat of elimination.

Pep Guardiola's group leaders visit Lyon and, if they leave with a win, they would be assured of top spot.

But if Lyon surprise them, as they did in Manchester, everything could still be decided on the last day when the French outfit visit Shakhtar and City play Hoffenheim.

Group G

Real Madrid visit Roma in a clash that will decide which team goes through.

If Real Madrid win then they will be through and if Roma win then they will be assured of progress.

With Viktoria Plzen out, CSKA are looking for a miracle by picking up six points and hoping that Roma avoid adding a win that would put them through or that Real Madrid don't win in the Italian capital.

Group H

Valencia visit Juventus in Turin knowing that they have to win if they are to stay in with a chance of making it through.

If the Italians win, they will be mathematically qualified, although they won't be assured of first place.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho's Manchester United welcome Young Boys, who are already out and unlikely to even secure Europa League football.

If the English side win then first place will be decided on their visit to Valencia in December, although their progress could be in jeopardy if Los Che win in Turin.

Three teams could all head into the final matchday with a chance of making it through.

Sooner or later Jose is gonna leave but all the opposition fans are going to be upset when he leaves. His comedy value to the English football is second to none. I mean without him living in this country would be very hard with all the brexit crap going on!
