the only iranian guy in this picture will be the next coach.

I was actually thinking that this guy has been with CQ for over 8 years! He must have gotten immense knowledge and experience like no other Iranian coach at the moment.

It would be good to try him out, at least as a head coach in a club and see what he can do.

We have got a couple of games in a couple of months, let's put Markar in charge as a caretaker manager and see how he gets on.
Let's see what he has picked up in the last 8 years.
Does he have the charisma and technical knowledge and a will and ability to stand up to the task and fend off the mafia.

Mourinho is the only one who could fight with the authorities like CQ did. But the chance of him coming to Iran is like the chance of snowing in Sudan!

As much as I like Markar but he's way too nice of a guy to be able to handle such a complicated task. Also for a position like this, you need someone with huge experience as a head coach. Someone who's already been to several WCs or at least coached a few top teams.

Simple math:

Iran can afford a manager of about $500K
$2M plus benefits and another $1M for the staff is just too juicy not to tickle the greed and envy of any Iranian coach even remotely considering himself qualified for the job. Particularly if nobody is getting a cut.

$500K can not bring anyone sane to Iran, let alone someone sane and good

So there should be compromise:
"International Sane Great valuable manager who gladly comes to Iran" becomes:
One of the better domestic coaches we have we did not try before or recently: Yahya, Taghavi, Schafer, Branko
or
A crazy reputable good international who has no job now because he was doping
or
A fresh International who has reasons to come to Iran and has no other options now, such as Alexander Nouri

I personally go with Nouri or Schaffer with 2 domestic young talents like Taghavi and yahya assisting and a strong bullying name as director of the program

Reports: Former World Cup finalist coach to replace Carlos Queiroz as IR Iran manager

Carlos Queiroz stepped down from the post of IR Iran football team manager after Team Melli’s semifinal exit in the AFC Asian Cup 2019. And within weeks, fresh reports have emerged linking a high-profile name with the vacant seat.
According to reports from Saudi Arabian journalist Saad Al Harthy, former Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and Australia coach Bert van Marwijk will replace Queiroz at the helm of affairs of the Iran national football team.

The Portuguese was the longest-serving coach in the history of Iran national team, managing the team for almost eight years between 2011 and 2019. He took the side to two FIFA World Cups and this year to the semifinal of the Asian Cup, where they lost to Japan.
Van Marwijk, on the other hand, led the Netherlands to the final of the 2010 World Cup, where the Oranje lost 1-0 to Spain in extra-time. His second most notable achievement is winning the UEFA Europa League, then known as UEFA Cup, with Feyenoord in 2002.
