Playing Qatar is a real waste of a friendly time but I guess to get finances for a game against a good team, we have to go through with it.

^^Absolutely! Although it still hurts to let Qatar take one of the valuable 7 possible friendlies. I hope the Qatar game somehow ends up outside the Fifa days or something so we can meet 7 decent teams with our full squad.

4 team tournaments in fifa days (2 days in march i guess) end up with each team playing two matches. Qarar also wants to play better teams than iran so it is very possible that both us and Qatar play two good games and not face each other. On the other hand tge two stronger teams wouldn’t want to play two asian teams unless they are not in wc (italy) and paid good money.

That's the only scenario when this whole thing would really be worth it!

So far it's looking like Uzbekistan (closed doors- only domestic players) + Libya friendly in Tehran before we head out of the country.

Algeria friendly is confirmed but the destination is yet to be announced- could be the 3rd friendly in Tehran before we head off.

Training camp in Qatar with us most likely playing Greece, Bulgaria/Albania also mentioned if Greece falls through.

Confirmed friendly with Turkey most likely in Russia.

IFF and Queiroz are still trying to sort out another 2 friendlies. Several names mentioned, but looking like they are looking for 1 S.American + 1 more European outfit. Peru was close to being announced but it fell through by the looks of it.

They have an unbeaten record against us and somehow we have done better on their soil in the past.

What happened to CQ’s request to have players in NT camp for recovery for 1 day after they play for their respective clubs? Are clubs releasing those players? Does he ask for certain players after each game or has already given a list of who he wants from each team?

Even though the five star IFF has yet to officially announce the remaining TM friendly games in preparation for WC2018, Saket revealed the list without mentioning the venues during the debate with Ali Karimi on Navad program on Monday.
Despite earlier talks of playing a big team (such as Italy, Netherlands, Brazil) Iran will play Greece. It is still unclear whether this game will be TM farewell game in Azadi before leaving to Russia.
In addition, Iran was supposed to play a friendly match against a WC qualified team in Russia, instead Iran will play Lithuania.
Overall, Iran will play two friendlies against two Asian teams that we met during the qualification: Syria and Uzbekistan. It still remains to be seen if the domestic players would be released from their clubs in a timely manner to play these two games which are supposedly scheduled specifically for their preparation.
We will also play three North African teams: Libya, Tunisia and Algeria to prepare for the game against Morocco.
In addition we will play two Balkan teams: Greece and Turkey, bringing the total number of teams from Mediterranean region to six. These two friendly could be viewed as preparation for the game against Portugal.
And lastly we play the low ranking Lithuania, a Baltic state from the North-Eastern Europe for a light last friendly before the official games begin to build confidence and tweak tactics.

Here is the list with some additional dates that are noteworthy:
