for sure, this is his team, We need to give this coach at least 2 years to see what he can produce. is he able to implement his playing style (more attacking) or not. I hope he does!!!

You can tell the midfield and attackers feel more at ease under Wilmots, hence the more exciting football, but there's no quality in their game. CQ had seen this and banked on disciplined defense to extract results.

Iran has no quality midfielders or strikers. Torabi and Jahanbakhsh are supposed to be Iran's best, yet they're both B-rated players by European standards. The rest are even worse in quality.

Wilmots, overtime, will realize his team lacks the accuracy and quality for attacking football. He either adapts or gets sacked. My bet is on the latter.

The advantage that every coach (now Wilmots) has is that they don't have to worry about basics. Poor CQ bega raft but made sure the ABCs are in place and on top of the list discipline. Now lets hope Wilmots can build on that.

Harsh you’re talking as if We are Spain or Germany lets not forget Sardar Azmoun and Ghoddos were not available today and they’re both very good players despite that we performed really well and matched South Korea in every department. Based on what I’ve seen in the last two matches we got a great future with young talented players like Delfi Allahyar Sayadmanesh and Shekkari joining TM soon replacing the
the over the hill players like Dejagah.

Players with striker capacity/ability do not grow like Penny-Bun fungus in Iran, it's rather kind of rare and infrequent occurring experience.
It's all about mentality, to cool it down when it requires and heats it up when it requires as well.
Iranian players need more discipline and team-working than anything else, every single fella wants to be the king of the hill as soon as one got its chances.
Carlos Queiroz forced them to face it "think & act as a team" you are not above the team.
You bring the ever best attacking coach in the world to Iran, it will be a failure. Prima-donna mentality and self-righteous narcissism will ruin it all!
Let's wish all good luck for new coach.
