and that is the sad part. Only these 2 alone would bring millions of non-Iranians to watch our games. People who wouldn't care about TM in the WC otherwise. Add to that Jahanbakhsh and the others..... it would be very sad if we didn't make it to the WC. I get the same flashbacks from 2001 where a shining Ali Karimi in his top form together with our other great stars missed the WC2002.

Well, the only way that can happen is if Azmoun and Taremi score on their chances like they do in their respective leagues. The only way they can do that is if the ball is distributed to them effectively which directly involves our midfielders. The question is if our midfielders are as good as the ones in Zenit or Porto.
They're good enough for the shitty Asian opponents. Jahanbakhsh and Ghoddos and Gholizadeh plus one or two others should be enough to take care of them all.
But of course it's not a given thing if you don't perform well or have the wrong tactics and attitude but in normal circumstances they should beat any of them teams convincingly.
