Iran wins the first set 25-23.

We need to replace 2/3 of team after Olympic as only Ebadipour, Ghaemi, Ghafour and Mirzajanpour are 25 or less from current squad. Main challenge will be replacing Marouf and Mousavi, two of the best in their position in world, Specially Marouf. He is the heart of this team, unless he decides to play until age of 34!

The Polish and French teams made it up before the last race of the day to stop further asian qualifiers!
Polish danged the crap out of aussies 0-3, and French let japanese to win by 3-0, lol
So Canadians may consider themselves VERY lucky, they slide unintentionally in as well for Rio too! :)

The continent of Asia was promised that even if one of the top 3 teams in the qualifier is Asian, then the next placed Asian team will also qualify. But it seems they changed this rule right before the tournament and let Canada in instead.

No, that ain't no right!

The best ranked Asian team plus the top three ranked teams would qualify for the Olympics from the tournament in Japan. If an Asian team was ranked among the top three, then the next ranked team (any team) could be qualified. That was the rule from the beginning!

But the Polish (french/canadian head coach ) team did everything they could to stop another asian team (China/Aussie) to qualify and helped Canada instead!

It was still the case dude, it simply Aussie and China failed to finish ahead of Canada.
