iran did win in straight sets but after dropping the first 2 sets.
iran started brightly but lost a hard fought first set 27-29.
in the 2nd set iran coach started experimenting and brought in #7
who was a total bust and disrupted the flow of the set in favor of canada.
in the 3rd set he made his key change which was replacing the libero who
had a hard time in receiving and brought back the rest of the starting line up
from the first set.that change worked like magic and iran won the next 3 sets
and won the match.it also helped iran that canada was coming off a 2-3 loss
in less then 24 hours.they ran out of steam in the 4th and 5th sets.
today is an off day and next up is france for iran.if iran can beat them,unlikely,
they can book their tickets for rio.a point would be valuable.

That is not true, ONLY one Asian team qualify, people in Iran thought same way also but Volleyball federation made it clear that only one team from Asia qualify. Asia deserves two, specially with Aussie part of it now, then you have a team like Egypt who qualify but this is Olympic and every continent need a team.
