Would Daei be benched/subbed?

According to today's Navad paper (last page) Branko has had a talk with
cap. Daei mentioning the possibility of benching or subbing him:

It would be interesting indeed! One would say it is past due!
I can think of 3 possibilities:

- the story is made up by Navad (yellow journalism, tabloidism, what ever you want to call it)
- Branko is trying to confuse Bahrain's coach about Iran's possible arrangement
- Branko is seriously thinking of the possibility of substituting him in order to open position for either Hashemian, Zandi or Borhani

Branco insists on using Daei for 90min and even if 3 of our best strikers get benched, he wont sub Daei out.

Bauvafa joon, It's exactly that "unfairness" that bothers me. I respect
Daei, but not so much so that I hold him above all criticism. Equally, I
deeply resent those who go beyond reasoanble, constructive criticism
with the intention of assassinating Daei's (or anyone else's) character.
Navad, on many occasions, has gone far beyond constructive criticism,
and made completely baseless accusations about Daei that were pure
fabrication. It's not the "subbing or benching of Daei" that I took issue
with, but the truth and sincerity of the report.
