Mohammad

I hope your not naming your girl any of those names. Or if you really like them just add an eh to the end of them. Omideh. amineh, farhadeh.

Congrats agha! and get yourselves ready for a tottaly different life style.

Pick a name that is short and can be easily read and pronounced. Avoid
traditional names. ( won't name 'em) ;)
specially if you have a typical long iranian and hard to say last name. ;)

I like Tara, Ava, Roya, Mona ,Rose....MarjAn and Renee are my fave.

Thank you thank you thank you....

Yes I am the same old Kasra. Now you know what I have been up to.... lol.

We are looking for a name that is: SIMPLE, EASY TO PRONOUNCE, AND PREFERABLLY COMMON BETWEEN ENGLISH AND FARSI.

My wife likes "Baran" very much and I live in Portland Oregon, so it is all relevant in that sense. However we don’t know how to spell it so it is pronounced right. Also, Tara and Lina are up there in our list.

Thank you very much for all the nice suggestions. Please keep them coming.

Ardy khan:

It is Samaa with an ain and not a hamze, which may also be a derivative of the Arabic word Sam3 (the 3 is used for ain) for the sense of hearing as opposed to Samaa with hamze for sky. May be our fellow Sufis could explain why the mystical dance of Sufis is referred to as Samaa.
