His point about how the Saudis and the West were planning to use Yemen to close off Gulf of Aden and the strait of Bob-el-Mandeb to Iranian ships (and thus essentially choke off Iran's access to Europe completely) and how Iran pre-empted their move by having the Houthis take over Aden and Sanaa region (and thus threaten to close the Gulf of Aden to everyone if they tried to threaten Iran's interests) and thus taking away an extra leverage from the 5+1 negotiators against the Iranian negotiating team was very interesting and quite a news to me.
Perhaps it's not so surprising that now that Iran has struck a deal the Houthis have started giving up territory in Aden and are not putting up as much resistance as just a few days ago.
