At some point three points were awarded per win instead of two and ties got a point per game.

Would it make sense to award let's say a half point for at least one score? Even a 1 - 1 result ties game would award 1.5 point vs goalless tie.

Half point awarded for at least one goal would make a team trailing 0-2 or 0-3 fight for something instead of consolation goal.

On other hand three goal wins to get extra tra .5 point at 3.5, and maybe a 5 goal or clear 5 or 6 goals win gets another .5
? This forces more effort on both sides and good for the game too.

So a 3-1 result be like 3.5 vs .5 points and 5-2 be like 4 vs .5 points.

This would make early blow outs still alive and interesting to watch. Normally a game with early 3 goals difference end up with time wasting and tiki taka waste-a kaka and goalie getting away with shoe lacing trick or adjusting his high heels.

What should a 2-2 result award? Two points per side?

This would increase number of own goals too, lmfao!!!
