Hi guys,
I am trying to buy a good GPS with reasonable price that works in both the U.S. and Canada. I wanted to see if any one has any recommendations. Please share your kindda GPS, if the price is on sale or ... .
Thank you :))

I have tried Magellan and Garmin GPSs and Garmin was better than Magellan. You can buy a Garmin GPS for about $150 (of course the low end one). The only difference between the low end and high end one is that the high end one says the name of the streets, whereas the low end one just says turn right or left and shows the name of the street on the screen.

Try here:

www.gpscentral.ca

They sometimes have great sale prices.

I too have tried both Garmin and Magellan, and prefer Garmin.
Whatever you buy make sure:
1) Has North American maps, not just US (Magellan has a US-only model) and that new maps can be loaded to it (some preloaded ones do not allow you to do upload).
2) Has the TTS feature (Text to Speech) so that it can pronounce street names for you.

Other nice features include bluetooth capability and integrated MP3 player.

Thank you so much guys. Yeah I think I will go for Garmin. My only concern was just having both U.S. and canada map in it, so if I travel to Canada one day, I would not worry about that either. I looked at all the prices that were listed, and the cheapest Garmin that I found was around 180 USD. I'm not sure if I can buy a Garmin GPS lower that this price. If any one has a website that has very good deals with low prices in it, please let me know.

I have used both garmin and Tomtom and i think tomtom is more user firendly and other gps systesm that i've seen. i have it both on my cellphone and in my car...
if you're buying a gps go to a bestbuy and try both garmin and tomtom... pick whichever is easier to use for you because it's important to pick something that is easier for you nevigate through the gps menu while driving.

Thank you for all the replies.
I was wondering what the difference between the Garmin 650 and 750 is??! Is 750 more updated with new roads and ... or does it have more features??? Because I found a very good deal with Garmin 650 for 160 USD and it has the entire map of the U.S. and Canada in it. I'm just confused if it is updated with new roads and ... .
Please let me know.

It should let you update the map for free from Garmin's web site. It worked for me when I bought a Garmin streetpilot 550. But do check with the seller.

Pay little more and get the Garmin Nuvi 765T, it will give you real time picture (movie) of the scene with street/hwy signs like you are watching the movie of where you are going and many other very useful features. Only difference between 765T and 775T is that latter comes with pre-loaded European map.

750 pronounces street names. 650 does not. To compare different Garmins, visit https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134
